Code Check 10th Edition: An Illustrated Guide to Building a Safe House

I am an Xactimate Certified Trainer and teach how to use Xactimate to create accurate scopes for Insurance damaged structures and I use the Code Check series in teaching so that estimators can easily reference codes so that their estimates can be complete with all line items that meet the needs of the Building Codes. It is a great reference and easy to take around to the job site.

We have been using this book on the worksite for months, So great to have an easy to read book that I can share one site with others. While it’s easy to get on line and looks things up, this is tangible and you know it’s accurate. I highly recommend this for anyone working with several different trades on a project.

There is an incredible amount of information in this spiral bound code summary! Even if you have a working knowledge of the full code, this will guide you through the main topics and requirements thus saving you enormous amounts of time. The authors have done an incredible job of bringing this information together in one place.

Easy to read, have this with me to look up build codes

This is a “must have” for anyone doing building or home improvement! Quick guide is great for sanity checks. I love that the specific codes are listed, makes it easy when further research is needed.

I know I'm getting older, but even with reading glasses and plenty of light, it's almost impossible for me to read the text on these pages. I would have preferred the whole book be a few pages thicker and have actually readable text.
