Beautiful Illustrations, Classic Writing
I bought this for my granddaughter to read about more knights' tales and this book did not disappoint. All the intrigue and chivalry is there, and the illustrations are magnificent.

Great book for everyone!
A fantastic read for our 4 year old and myself apparently. We feel so entertained throughout the book. I was sad that one chapter was read without me and I have to read it again to our son. Easy to read, gripping, and entertaining.

Good edition!
Stories are essy to read to a 4 year old. He likes the fist couple stories best. He will probably enjoy the pther ones better as he grows older.

Makes a beautiful gift
I bought this as a gift for my 4 year old and it made a wonderful gift. Although fewer than expected the illustrations are lovely and I am confident this is a book he can grow with.

Beautiful
This book is small but thick. It has beautiful illustrations and a lovely attached ribbon bookmark. We read this as a family and enjoyed discussing the classic themes. Afterwards, we all started noticing Arthurian themes everywhere! So glad that my kids (5 to 10) could understand the themes and follow the stories. This was our first of this series of books and we have since purchased many others. Check the information at the back of the book before starting the story for a great background.

Excellent Quality
This book is of excellent quality from what I can tell. Crisp, clear and large printing, great for young readers. Illustrations are very nice, though could include more of them. Even has a ribbon place marker attached to the spine. Very happy with this purchase.

I would skip this one
I really love these Usborne illustrated books in general. I've read the Greek Myths, Aesop's tales, Arabian nights, Grimms fairy tales, etc. sometimes, they can be a bit gruesome when reading to a small child, but you can usually adapt the story slightly, or sometimes it's not too bad and you don't need to. Except for this book, which is suggested for 4-8 year olds in the description, that I found to be way too violent. The Sword in the Stone story it starts with isn't too bad and is reminiscent of the Disney movie, but I found the following chapters too violent and is the first Usborne book where I had to stop. I made this decision after the 4th or 5th story which had a lot of killing and stabbing without seemingly any other purpose or moral to the story (which tends to be more present in other books). Again, I love these illustrated Usborne books, but this one was just senselessly violent without enough good themes or teachings. I give all the other books a 5 star rating and this one a 1 star rating
