Perfectly chewy
We very much enjoyed these glass noodles. Easy to prepare, just follow the typical directions of soaking them with hot water before adding them to your dish to fully cook. The finished noodles are chewy and bouncy, but not too chewy; and they take on whatever flavors you are using in your sauce very well.This package makes a lot, it feels much more filling than a pound of regular Italian pasta.The only downside is the price, if you have an Asian market near you you can get a similar product for much less. But if you don't have access to that, this is a great alternative because they are authentic and work well in recipes.

I treated it like rice, and my dish was delicious!
In hindsight, I’ll soak it longer next time or else use hot water, or maybe both. I soaked it for about five minutes and then tried to use kitchen shears to cut it into chunks for throwing in my skillet and it was still very difficult to cut. It came out fine, though.What I made— something like fried rice, with eelmami sauce instead of soy. I threw in some chicken and peas and egg with these noodles instead of rice, then a couple handfuls of bean sprouts (homegrown— I’m so proud!), and I told my husband that it was so good, I couldn’t believe I made it. He laughed at me, but usually I only cook for him and not myself because we eat totally different things and I just don’t have the time or attention span to *cook* multiple meals every time we need to eat. This was a real treat and a revelation to me. I’ll definitely buy it again. I had two BIG meals out of four blocks, and I’ve got eight left. I’m doing shrimp instead of chicken next time! Yummy!

SUN RIGHT Bean Thread Glass Noodles - chewy!
This package is very large! I loosely followed the recipe on the package. For 4 people, I took 4 pieces out (⅓ of the package) and soaked them in water. Meanwhile, I stir fried some vegetables. Then, I added chicken stock to the veggies. Once it came to a boil, I added the soaked noodles. When they were nearly done (and the stock was mostly absorbed), I added the delicate veggies and some seasoning. I made some scrambled eggs separately and added them in, and served with some fried tofu on the side. The noodles were like typical glass noodles - they can be chewy if you cook them for a short time, or more tender if you cook them for longer. They take on the flavor of whatever sauce you add. It made a lot of food - we had a portion leftover.
