This is a sturdy stainless steel colander/strainer. design and material is excellent. This 3 quart size is suitable for general purpose straining/draining of food items such as salads and pasta for a couple of people. For more capacity the 5 quart size should be more appropriate. Overall a great product for the price.

This colander is the Meryl Streep of kitchen utensils - versatile, reliable, and shines under the spotlight (or under the kitchen lights). It’s got more holes than my last excuse for being late to work, and let me tell you, it drains pasta faster than my bank account on payday.The 3-quart capacity is perfect for my “single serving” of spaghetti (don’t judge), and the sturdy base stands firm, unlike my resolve around chocolate. Plus, it’s dishwasher safe, which is great because the only thing I like less than washing dishes is… well, washing more dishes.In short, this colander isn’t just a kitchen tool, it’s a lifestyle. 5/5 stars, would strain again.

I was hoping for a thicker metal material that would be more durable. It's beautiful as a accent piece or decoration. I would not use this as an item in the kitchen due to it bending real easy and it's not durable at all.

The Gulex stainless steel colander is a little flimsy. My strainer was damaged during shipping, but I could pop it back into shape. The holes are small, so it's great for draining pasta or washing fruits and vegetables. I like the footed base. It remained in position when washing my strawberries. Overall, it does the job.

Does what it's supposed to do, fits in most of my pans perfectly for steaming, and very easy to clean.
