Great set, worked very well when i needed it most - on my vacation
Took this set to the Bahamas late Sep/early Oct 2015, and they performed GREAT. I haven't owned a set like for 35 years, so the new tech was different for me. No problems at all - mask sealed well, dry snorkel kept water out and the fins stay on and tight. The fins were easy to adjust for a good fit. The mask was a nice seal on my face - did have some fog issues, but will get some anti-fog liquid next time. I took off my glasses, and it seemed as if the lenses magnified the water a bit - no need for my glasses. Promote came through for me on this trip!

Great set
Great set. I'm a fairly new scuba diver and honestly not much of a water person. The most important thing to me is that water does not leak into my mask because that just freaks me out. These were great, good fit to my face and the only times water got in was when I did it on purpose or if I smiled really big. I'm happy with the mask. I actually didn't use the snorkel but it seems like good quality. The fins are great. They adjusted well to my feet and I didn't feel the need to wear booties with them. The only thing I didn't care for was when I'd hit the bottom of the ocean sometimes sand would come in between the top of my foot and the fin so I'd have to pull it up a little and let the water wash the sand out so it wouldn't irritate my skin.

Good for shallow dives and snorkeling
I bought this set as I was going for a scuba trip in the Bahamas. The mask fit pretty well at first but it started to press against my forehead and bridge of my nose the deeper we went. Our dives were short a relatively shallow so about the time my head really started to hurt, we were resurfacing. I think this set is good for shallow dives and for snorkeling but maybe spend the extra bucks to get something a little better for deeper and longer dives. Overall, I think this is very good quality for the price and gets the job done. The fins were a little big for my size 7 ft, but fit well once I put on my scuba booties. The carrying bag that comes with them is very convenient also.

The best of 4 similarly priced sets including U.S. Divers, and Phantom Aquatics.
Bought a couple sets of these for a week long trip to Hawaii that we just returned from where we snorkeled approx. 2hrs everyday. Between the others in our group of 8 we had 4 different, similarly priced sets, and these were the ones that never had a break,Goggles are simple, but quite comfortable and functional for nearly every face, even the very bearded in our crew, the ol' spit trick is certainly necessary to alleviate fogging, but I'm fairly certain that's the case with anything. The snorkel's dry valve is also incredibly simple and functional, once sealed you could turn upside down, etc. with no leakage... Occasionally had to clean sand from the upper and lower valves when first entering, or after dealing with surf-stirred waters, but it's a very intuitive system. Seemed a relatively smallish diameter snorkel, but I never felt restricted in breathing.Fins worked well, save for the "buckle" system which was finnecky enough to be essentially nonfunctional once in the water. Not to worry, however, once set where you need them, they had plenty of elasticity to be slipped on or off. After a shakedown prior to leaving I made the blister-saving decision to buy some finsocks... GET YOURSELF SOME FINSOCKS! or at least use some kind of sock, for my men's 9.5 wide feet and my girlfriends Women's 9.5 they were not exactly necessary, but neither of us had rubbed-raw feet unlike others among us. The fins also worked well with a friend's 10.5Men's aquasocks.

Great snorkel gear
This worked great. Everything worked properly. This was my first exposure to a "dry" snorkel. I used an older snorkel that filled with water once you went below the water line. This "dry" snorkel blocks off the tube so no water gets in when you go below the water line. The mask has a valve at the nose to clear any water that may get into your mask. My old mask doesn't have this. This is a great mask. The gear I purchased 15 years ago is no match for this kit. My mask, fins and snorkel cost twice as much as this kit back when I bought it. This gear blows it out of the water due to the advancement in mask and snorkel technology.Fins worked as designed. No surprises.I highly recommend this gear.

Worked well for the price
Overall the set was a pretty good value for the price. Mask worked as well as could be expected considering I have a full beard, it sealed pretty well. No complaints. The adjusting mechanisms for both fins & snorkel were actually quite nice & easy to use. The snorkel was also okay, had a couple of times when the diaphragm on the mouthpiece would leak, but could be fixed with a little bit of messing around with it.The fins were just okay, not much flexibility due to the fact they are a plastic fin vs. all rubber. Still worked fine though. Note that the fins run large! I wear size 10 shoes & I had to snug the adjusting straps about as far as they go to keep my foot from moving too much in the fin. I ordered size large & could've gone with the medium.

Mask too small
The mask is way too small for an adult. As soon as I unboxed the set, it was obvious the mask was to small for me. I'm 6'2" 210 lbs. and the mask would not fit on my face. I have a Speedo kids snorkel set, which I purchased a couple years ago, and the Promate mask is smaller than the Speedo kids mask that my son uses. Also the mask straps are not mounted to the plastic frame of the mask. they are secured by a small piece of silicone which appears to be very flimsy and could break easily. Appears to be a weak point. Snorkel and fins fit well and appear be well constructed. I'm returning the set due to the mask not fitting.
