The media could not be loaded. I needed to make a Digital Interface Cable to go from a DigiRig into a TYT TH9800 ham radio in order to run Winlink and Echolink. This little gizmo makes it super simple to go from a TRRS jack down to RJ12. I did have to modify it slightly to fit into the RJ12 jack on the radio as the collar was protruding just a little too far. This was easily accomplished using a rotary tool sander. The connections are securely screwed in and I don’t worry too much about them coming loose. If you are looking for a quality RJ12 adapter, this one works just fine.

Based on another review, I tested these specifically with three styles of RJ12 6P6C jacks. Two styles of keystone jacks from my miscellaneous parts bin which are probably close to 20 years old as well as a new PCB mount jack (Digikey #A31448-ND). The retention clip engages like it should. I further tested the contact resistance from the modular end to the screw terminal end to be 0.1 ohms for each conductor. No problems or issues found.

The media could not be loaded. Some older hardware requires these connectors to communicate. Most have only 4 pins. Putting this into terminal blocks is especially versatile since you may need to decode what the pinout need to be.They are small and of high quality. Their performance is excellent and clear. While I may use them only once a year they are small enough to carry and may save me a revisit.The bottomline is that these are exactly what technicians dealing with lots of hardware may require sometimes.
