A MUST FOR MEDICAL MISSIONARIES
I lived and worked in Haiti for several years, so I already speak and read Creole. We didn't have a book like this to study from, but now that I am back in the States, I decided to get it to "bone up" because I am working with Haitians here. The book is fantastic and will be helpful to health professionals. The only beef I have with it is that there should be a pronunciation guide at the beginning of the book. Such as, "a" is pronounced as "ah" and "e" is pronounced as "a", "i" is "ee", etc. I can just hear the Americans pronouncing some of these words incorrectly and the people will not know what the Americans are talking about. Slight mispronunciations do make a difference in meaning in many words.BUY THIS BOOK!

Creole to English
I am finding this book to be very useful, well written and illustrated. I would have given it the extra star if it included the phonetic pronunciation.

Very good book with a good purpose
Although I do not speak Creole, I am an instructor in a college with a high percentage of Haitian students. This book was purchased for them, to assist them with learning the English words for the ones they know in Creole. Very good book with a good purpose.

I love this book!
I love this book! It's very accurate and very helpful. I'm going to school for Medical Interpreter and I recommend this book to anyone who's studying to be in the medical field or who's already in the medical field.

but the pictures were good and together would explain things in a little more ...
It's a little superficial, but the pictures were good and together would explain things in a little more detail. My interpreter loved it and want to keep it. He is a senior at the local university and hopes to teach English there. I will buy a new one before my next trip for use in Haiti.

Great Resource for Medical Missions
This is a very easy dictionary to use while on a mission. I take it with me to Haiti and we all use it. Our interpreters love to borrow it and learn new words.
