To be honest, I thought this was gonna be a scam item, it started popping up randomly on ads and whatnot so I was suspicious of it but intrigued enough to try it. Well, it actually worked as advertised, the first time I hooked it up it didn't do much a bit of sediment came out (thats with the cold water pressure on) but not much else, but after that first few pumps the sediment just rushed out. Every couple of minutes I would shoot some air through the air valve again just to mix the sediment up and kept doing that till the water was mostly sediment free. I also appreciate the extra inches it added to the hose connector (as the factory drain valve is rather short ) so with this I could hook up my hose no issues. So I shouldn't admit this but I had hot water coils that would burn out every three to four months. And naturally I never really cleaned and drained my water heater. Now my water is hard! This little gadget was amazing! I had a little bike pump blasted it in there every few seconds and it drained all that gross settlement out. I would recommend buying a hose long enough to a floor drain and a bike pump if you don't have one. But if you think you need this it's worth it. I couldn't even get a drop of water out of my water heater when I opened the valve.

We are surrounded by poor quality broken products & exaggerated claims so I must report that this item is EXACTLY as advertised!!! Good quality & sturdy build. A simple but VERY handy tool when flushing/draining a water heater. Easy to install , just attach to heater drain on one end and a hose on the other. The clear view window is a MUST have! You can see IF the water is even flowing without a helper or running back and forth to view the end of hose. The air injection (I used a small compressor) is also a MUST have! I watched the heater flow stop again and again but with a couple of blasts of air I could see the water moving and also the clogging debris! WOW! Whether you are a DIY'er or a PRO I can't recommend the "Sediment Buster" highly enough! Makes the job easy and almost fool proof. I'm glad that I got one and you will be too! Just my .02 cents.

Helped break up a calcium deposit in our water heater. We had to replace the heating element due to a leak in the seal after losing power after a tornado. I expect it shrank when the water cooled down and didn't reseal once the water heated up again. Anyway when we pulled the element it was caked with calcium. Bought this product to break it up and it worked like a champ. Would recommend this product to anyone and also recommend a full flow drain valve instead of a needle drain valve.

Finally used this yesterday after upgrading our well system. The draining process the last few years has been just a trickle. Now with this, game changer. So much sediment and build up came out. Follow the instructions, it'll make sense. I had no leak from the tool or any problems. I highly recommend.
