They work in small pots.
It’s not that they don’t work- they work more accurately in a small pot. I tried them in a huge planter for my fiddle leaf plants and they didn’t work accurately. I have them in smaller pots and they work better. The issue is this; I don’t need them for the small pots. It’s much more difficult to ascertain the plants’ need for water in the large planters.

Plant moisture thermometer
Excellent! I gave a few to my daughters and I use one as well. Helps me gauge how much water to put on the soil in the pot. My daughters love it and have nothing but good things to say about the “thermometer “. Would buy more if I needed them.

They measure moisture for most ofmy houseplants, but not for some potting mixtures.
