This hydroponic system can be used in a variety of ways, with or without the pumps, indoors or out. Using them outdoors might invite some of the usual insects, birds, etc., to check out your plants, but using them indoors, it should stay pest free if the rocks and water you use are clean to start with. This is a large system. If you set up all the buckets it could take up something like a garage rack or shelving in a closet. If you would like to do gardening indoors, this is one of the best types of systems you can deploy because it is so tidy, and because it can be broken down so easily if you decide not to do it any more. Everything is fairly well explained, but there is a lot of science and art to it, so having the system is no guarantee of success! But if you’re really interested in this process, this system has everything you need to get started. You will probably want to keep them up off of the floor and have a drip tray or silicon mat on the ground in case of spills, and you will probably want to have a light if you do have them indoors. If you have the room for it, this is a really great set up.
