Great laptop but gets hot enough that you'll need a cooling mat
I brought a Dell Inspiron 7000 which lasted less than a month before the fan failed. This laptop was the replacement. Great graphics, great screen, great keyboard, great everything.... oh apart from heat. Playing games on it for more than a few hours gets it up to around 50-60 degrees, not too bad for the laptop but it is rather warm on the legs. I brought a cooling mat so hopefully that will help

Good, but cheap quality
Not bad laptop, but always overheating when you play heavy games like a PUBG, Diablo 3 and The Witcher 3,and after 4 months using start to be a problem with one of the fans

do make sure you buy a good cooling pad to avoid any throttling or burnt laps
This laptop is superb though slightly pricey in comparison to comparable models, being a fan of Asus this is something i could accept when i ordered.Word of warning when buying if not used to gaming laptops, do make sure you buy a good cooling pad to avoid any throttling or burnt laps.Performance wise its as good as you can expect from laptop without going into the 2k+ market, the 1060 gfx card is around 10% slower then desktop version but still enough for me to get 75fps on most games with custom settings (mostly just below high-ultra depending on game)Keyboard is superb for a laptop, i used a logitec g series costing around 100 pounds on pc and the laptop one feels as good quality to use, touchpad i cant give an opinion as i use a mouse, as will most i would imagine being a gaming laptop.Temps without cooling pad are high to the point of noise and heat being uncomfortable, with cooling pad they are a non issue, this I expected with the specs and size of laptop, all the heat has to go somewhere.Aesthetically the laptop is very good, for the size of the laptop and specs its not an over heavy monster like some of the gaming laptops i have seen. The colour scheme is personal preference but i enjoy it.This review is based on the cost I paid at purchase time which was 1349 pounds.

Happy with this
Laptop seems good, I got this for my son's birthday he's delighted with it, plays all games well, granted not all games on max setting but very good for the price. I am a desktop man myself and pay a lot for my builds. This laptop fairs well against your medium range gaming desktop.
