Thes are good for getting in tight corners. Don't get aggressive with them though.

The tool and inserts themselves are great, I just had to grind down the bottom portion of the tool so it would line up on the center line of my lathe. They last just about as long as most of the cheap Chinese carbide inserts, which I hate to say is long enough to offset the additional cost of name-brand inserts.

Since these size bench lathes are not good at heavy cuts, these tool holders are just about perfect for smaller lathes. Small radius carbide tools are great for light cuts. And I can just imagine how nice of a surface finish these can give on many of the small, CNC lathes available today. Both tools came wrapped in plastic, inside a nice slip tube so the arrived in perfect condition and have nice containers for storage when not in use. Each also came with a wrench and screw. I would have liked to see an extra screw with each but, they are cheap and can be bought anyplace so, not a big deal. Inserts fit the pockets well and the insert box has feeds and speeds listen on the back label. Price is no longer an issue with inserted carbide tools for small machines like it was 10 years ago. And these won't break your wallet. Not a bad deal at all.
