Viking Revolution Spiced Vanilla Solid Cologne for Men - 2 Oz Balm Cologne Travel Wax (Spiced Vanilla)

All of these smell amazing. I can't pick a favorite. They all wear well individually and mix nicely in different ways. Nice, warm, creamy versions of these scents. They wear close to the skin, very subtle and don't project a lot, but they stick around for a long time. I live by the idea that people shouldn't smell your perfume unless they are in your space, so these are great. I also like to wear them to round out other scents sometimes. It's a good value for a nice set to experiment with.

I can't give this five stars because it's it's not as obnoxiously fragrant as I would like but I would say it's probably five stars for a general consumer it smells pretty good it does its job and it doesn't smell like some dude who bathed in alcohol and gas it's a very pleasant vanilla smell but that very slight hint of wood.

I think that this on the go cologne is really good and has a really good scent, it’s really easy to apply and there is perfect instruction on the back of the bottle.

What sets apart expensive colognes from cheaper ones is not the fragrance but the durability. These all smell well but the effect dissipates fast. Good to keep in car or on you for quick "touchups" but don't expect it to last all day.

What a different gift. I gave it to my husband, and he thought it was a great gift. He liked the ideal that you rub it on. I would buy it again. He liked the scents.

Due to VRs lack of QC/QA and it's production in China and lack of improvement of its product line] Unfortunately I cannot leave a good review for viking revolution products. I really wanted to like this product and solid cologne. I have used other solid cologne with great success however VR's product doesn't fit the snuff. 1) the wax base; is too thick & doesn't melt at all between the fingers. Leaves a sticky somewhat tacky residue when applied. (Other brands formulations of wax bases melt between the fingers and are easily applied) 2) Scents; although I love the scent profiles and they have a solid basis, the scents do not last as long compared to competitors like (the man brand, Fulton, duke cannon to name a few). 3) quality control; I'm not a fan of VRs lack of QC/QA, I found several of the eight scents I purchased to have inconsistent scent and wax bases. 4) Manufacturing; This one is the major defacto for this review and poor rating for product. All of viking revolution products apparently are manufactured in China. This cheap production of a low quality product is obviously seen not due to low cost but also due to the poor quality control and even poorer quality of the wax base. Unless VR not only addresses the wax base and scent concentration issues with this product I cannot change this review. Please shoppers be aware of what your getting for this low price. Although the scents themselves profile wise are amazing they lack depth, strength, and long lasting effect. 👎🏻👎🏻

Some of the smells are a little weird but most are really good. I'm glad I got the variety packs so I could try them all. I'll probably reorder the sandalwood and sweet tobacco, maybe the oud too. Nice that they're small enough to slip in a pocket, and they're easy to apply. The waxy material has never melted in my pocket, but just rubbing your fingers on it is enough to get some out to apply. I'd say the smell lasts a couple hours, but its hard to tell because you get kind of nose blind to any cologne you put on yourself after a few minutes you just stop noticing it on yourself. Regardless, they're so small, easy to use, and cheap I don't mind reapplying a couple times.

I hate to call a product useless, but as a cologne this is totally useless. They smell great in the tin but once you apply to your skin, poof the great smell is gone. I literally can not smell it at all outside the tin. I guess I’ll try to use it as beard balm so I don’t totally throw my money away. If you’re into solid cologne, look for a better quality product.

Purchased for $13.99 in December 2025. I originally got into Viking Revolution because of their shaving cream, which has been excellent, so trying their solid cologne felt like a safe next step. As the name suggests, this is a solid cologne that comes in a small metal tin with a slide-off lid. You press your finger into it, scrape a small amount, warm it between your fingers, and apply it wherever you want. The tin is compact enough to toss in a pocket or bag if you wanted to reapply on the go, though I personally leave it at home. What really sold me on this is that my wife has allergies to most traditional spray colognes. This one is much more subtle and doesn’t overwhelm the room. It also has a noticeably shorter lifespan compared to spray-on colognes, which is actually a plus in this case. It smells good when applied, fades naturally, and doesn’t linger aggressively. Viking Revolution offers several scent options, including some unexpected ones like “sweet tobacco,” which sounds questionable but actually smells quite nice. Overall, this is a solid (pun intended) option if you want something low-key, easy to control, and less likely to offend sensitive noses. It won’t replace a long-lasting evening cologne, but for everyday use, it does exactly what I want it to do. TLDR This solid cologne is subtle, easy to apply, and great for everyday use, especially if you or someone close to you is sensitive to strong fragrances. It doesn’t last as long as spray colognes, but that can be a benefit, and the scent options are surprisingly good for the price.

I would say I am completely delighted by my purchase, my only issues being slight nitpicks. The scents are very warm and earthy, the bergamot one particularly strong (you can smell it before taking it out of the box haha). The tins are a good size in my opinion as I doubt I will be using these too frequently. Portable, too, very pocket friendly. My only issue with these is the texture. Again, nitpicky, but I was expecting a more balm like texture, whereas these are very solid like a candle. If you're looking to purchase one of these, keep in mind it's a bit harder to get any on your finger.

Ho provato questa solid cologne incuriosito dal formato compatto e devo dire che il lato pratico è il suo punto forte: si porta ovunque senza problemi ed è molto comoda da usare. L’odore è gradevole, ma la qualità nel complesso è piuttosto media. Alla fine si tratta sostanzialmente di un po’ di vasellina aromatizzata, quindi la fragranza rimane molto leggera e percepibile solo da vicino, nella zona in cui viene applicata. Per questo motivo, secondo me non può sostituire un profumo spray: può essere un buon accompagnamento o un ritocco durante la giornata, ma non aspettatevi la stessa intensità o durata. L’oud non sa di oud, il bergamotto è molto forte ed è l’unico che forse proietta un po’ di profumo (gli altri fanno solo da skin scent), il tabacco e la vaniglia sono buoni ma si sentono pochino
