These lamps are so small that each plastic "globe" fits in the palm of the hand. They arrived neatly packed in a sturdy box which prevented them from being crushed during transport.Two AAA batteries required per lamp, then a tiny push-button switch under the base to switch on. Pressing once gives you the lights always on, twice switches to flashing mode and the third press makes the lights fade on and off slowly. In this third mode, it is easy to believe that you have switched the lamps off, because the lights go off immediately and take a few seconds to fully brighten. I use them in the always on (steady on) position.The light given off by these lamps is BRIGHT, lighting up the darkest corners of a fair-sized room (20 square metres). I have put them in a smaller bedroom, then bathroom, then kitchen to test the effects and I finally decided to leave one in the bedroom and the other in the kitchen. The blue-tinged light was just a bit too cold to be used in a bathroom, in my opinion. The one in the bedroom is balanced by a warm-toned light and the one in the kitchen is accompanied by tealights. Works well that way.There is no remote control, but that is to be expected at this price point. If these were warm lights then I'd purchase a few more. The flashing light feature would be great at Christmas or at a party, but otherwise, would be a bit much for everyday use. Nice pair of lamps though, and very lightweight, so easy to move from place to place.

Cute little cordless lights. I like the fact that they are battery operated so they can be moved about. The units themselves are quite basic but they are still lovely little decorative lights.

I requested these to see if they were super bright, and they were not. They are actually quite nice to look at and almost have a fairytale appeal to them. They do require batteries Amazon has some great batteries and it gives off just a right amount of light with a little LEDs found inside of the bulb. The bulb is made of a sturdy plastic. Overall, it makes a great nightlight if you don’t like it too bright

Sooooo adorbs! These are magical fairy lights. When I first took them out of the box i was not impressed cuz they just look kind of meh... UNTIL I LIT THEM! They are not overly bright, but oh, they are SO CUTE! These are adorable fairy lights, magical, ethereal. These will not light the whole room, but wow, as far as a cute dainty sweet ambiance setting light, these are fan-tas-tic.

Got these for a "fairy" themed event. They looked really nice on the tables and added a whimsical touch to the tablescape. I later gave them away as raffle prizes and my recipients loved them.
