Excellent Bike Mirror
I bought my first bike mirror three years ago when I joined a club and started riding with groups. It was a Zefal Z-Eye. It was a huge upgrade from not wearing any sort of a mirror, but it was of low quality (I had to super glue the mirror back onto the arm. I also had to superglue the velcro back on. I frequently leave my helmet in the car and the heat would cause the fasteners to release). So when my Zefal went missing this winter, I wasn't terribly upset. Needing to replace my mirror, I was wavering between helmet or handlebar mounted. I was uncomfortable with some of the reviews and the price tag for handlebar mounts. Having seen Take a Looks on a number of helmets (eye glasses) in my club and given its reasonable price, I decided to give it a go. Boy am I glad I did. The construction is rugged and once adjusted, stays in place. The mirror is crisp (my zefal was cloudy plastic) and visibility is great. Adjusting it takes a little bit of getting used to, but once you figure out which pivot points do what, it offers a lot of flexibility. I don't wear mine on my sunglasses, my glasses have a lot of rubber on the ear pieces and I felt it wouldn't fit well. Instead, I mount it to my helmet visor. I did not buy the adapter. It will attach to a visor on its own, but not securely. I used a small velcro strip usually used for securing electronic wires. It worked perfectly, nice and secure while easy to remove for mountain biking or times when I don't need a mirror. A zip tie would be a more permanent solution. Even a twist tie from a bag of bread would probably work well. In other reviews I have seen complaints about size or difficulty focusing. I have had no problems. I would say using a mirror is a skill that takes a little practice. While this mirror has very clear images, a bike mirror is better used to improve awareness. It's less about clearly seeing what is behind you and more about you being subconsciously aware of movement. I like it best for when I am passing in the peloton (so I don't cut off riders). It is also nice for making left hand turns at intersections. I would strongly recommend this mirror for anyone that does road riding especially in areas that have busy, multi-line intersections.

Great rearview mirror
TLDR: Small, compact, light, useful, doesn't noticeably affect aerodynamics, easy to use and install, highly recommend. I added this rearview mirror to my riding kit after testing (buying) several other pieces of equipment. An avid long-distance rider friend showed me his mirror setup, and after some conversation, I ordered one. It's a very small mirror and doesn't seem like it would be much help or provide a good view. Wrong. It is a game changer once adjusted correctly, which is the key. Having it attached to your glasses, which is how I have it set up, took a little getting used to, mainly because it moves with you. This is actually the whole idea, though; as you glance up and to the left slightly into the mirror, you can tilt or turn your head slightly to catch more or less in whatever direction you need to see. It becomes second nature very quickly and more of a peripheral vision action rather than a direct glance (which is best for keeping your eyes where they should be). I have found this tiny mirror to be incredibly useful, and it is now a critical piece of riding gear.

not the easiest to use
This mirror works, but after riding with it for about 3 weeks I bought a Mirrycle handlebar-end mirror on Amazon that I like better. Here's why. First, because of how and where this Bike Peddler mirror mounts on my helmet, it forces my eyeballs to move about as far as they can in their sockets to look in the mirror (which makes my eye muscles feel strained after while), and then I have to move my head a bit to properly aim the mirror so I can see behind me at the proper angle; no matter how I adjust this mirror, the process takes too long and meanwhile I've lost sight of the trail in front of me for an unsafe amount of time. Second, this mirror seems to always need readjustment the next time I put my bike helmet back on to ride again, and this gets to be a pain after while. The fact that the field of view is rather narrow (since it's a flat mirror, not convex) doesn't help with any of this, and no matter how I adjusted the Bike Peddler I was never really happy with the results. In contrast, the convex Mirrycle mirror is dirt-simple for me to use: a quick glance down & left and I can easily see everything behind me, and my attention can be turned back to the street or trail before me much more quickly.

Excellent safety addition to my cycling gear!
I'm so glad I bought this! This makes it so much easier to see cars, motorcycles, bikes, and golf carts coming up next to me, especially when I can't hear them coming. I bike in a development but there is still traffic. It was painful to crane my neck around to see what was coming, and sometimes I was unpleasantly surprised by a vehicle zooming by me. It does take some riding and adjusting to get the mirror where you can see well and it doesn't give you a headache. My only complaint is that the directions on how to clip it to my helmet and adjust all the swivel arms were terrible. I totally did not understand them. Perhaps it was just me. My husband has one, and he put it on for me. Once it's adjusted it stays perfectly while road cycling. I would absolutely buy this again, and don't know how I managed to cycle safely all these years without it.

Over Priced
My lady bought this for a family member, and it is grossly overpriced. Should be about 7 or 8 not $20.

After a ton of struggling it finally works
The mirror does not fit all helmets, I got it to fit my Giro with visor model by using their little blue adapter (arg). The mirror has lots of angle options to finagle adjustments, I basically ended up removing the mirror itself from its "stem" and flipping it around - this way I can have the whole contraption on the left side of my helmet without over complicating all the angles so much. After spending way more hours than I ever EVER would want to, it works and I don't want to ride without it. I did purchase both sizes of the mirror, and ended up using the shorter version since my present helmet has a visor (mostly for style). Now to be extremely careful with my helmet when it's not on my head - mirror-contraption sticks out like a long fragile twig waiting to be smashed or tangled-up. Now that I have it on there nice and stable I'm afraid to slide it off. "Take a look" at the little blue adapter they offer. It's basically an extension to drop the mirror down a bit lower - in my case it helped cuz the top rim of my glasses reflected right in the middle viewing area of the mirror (distracting, divided viewing area). I don't want to see the frame of my glasses in the mirror reflecting back at me, the mirror is too tiny, I just want the mirror to reflect what's behind me. See my review for that as well. I tried both mirror sizes on my glasses but that added too much weight to my glasses which then would slide down my nose. I wish This mirror is awesome once you get it mounted correctly, if you can get it mounted. The safety it adds to riding makes a big difference for me. I really appreciate all the reviews offering so much information as well. It does not vibrate or budge while riding and I can easily adapt to slight head turns/adjustments to position the mirror to see what's behind me - as opposed to trying to position the handle bars for a mirror attached there. The thing I despise the most is how much fussing and time it took to get it right, but also how it ends up being a fragile protrusion about to break off and/or snag on something.

Game-changer for safety
In today’s traffic, the mirror is a great advantage to see cars behind you at critical spots, or just passing. Mirror can be a great companion to a radar system, or an economical first step in my/your road safety. Easy to install, adjust, & quality materials/design.

This little mirror is just what I needed! Works perfect.
I’m not one to write a review unless it’s something I really like. Well, I love this little mirror. I work next to a very busy walking/bike path. The majority of people are really good about warning me when they are going to pass me, but sometimes they wait until they are too close and scare the beejesus out of me. This little mirror is perfect for me to keep an eye on what’s coming up behind me. It was super easy to figure out how to fasten it to the bow of my glasses. The first time I wore this it was very windy and this mirror stayed put the whole time I walked during my lunch break. I was going to leave it at work and only use it there but decided to put it in my bag and bring it back and forth. I was wondering how I could keep it from twisting out of shape since I had it adjusted just right. Turns out this fits in one of those little plastic boxes that staples come in so that’s what I use to carry it in my bag. Another nice thing about this little mirror is that it’s made in America! Colorado to be exact! I highly recommend this mirror whether you’re biking or walking to help you be aware of your surroundings.
