This is a really nice book stand. I use it because I have shoulder and neck issues which makes it exhausting to hold up books to read them. Keep in mind that it does not hold magazines well because the two side clamps are not thin enough to push into the plexiglass to hold the magazines also for paperback books. This will not work.

Fits all books I’ve used it for so far with no issues.Reading ability: 💯 the page holders are small enough and flexible to where they don’t have to be in the way of the words on the page.Ease of use: 9/10… Although it is simple to figure out how to maneuver and adjust the stand to an angle that you prefer, it takes a little extra effort to do so. While this is great for the fact that it can hold sturdy for heavier books. It can be frustrating when trying to adjust it in the moment.I love that the side brackets are flexible but hold the pages in place very well.I originally bought this to hold books for reading. However, I realized it becomes frustrating to move the page holders every time I turn the page, so I tend to use it more for holding my cook books while making dinner or baking and it is perfect for that!

It's hard to hold a 1000 page book without some support. This book holder is wonderful.

I have been an avid reader my whole life. (I'm in my 60s.) Recently, my chiropractor told me not to hold my books (or phones, Kindle, iPad, etc) in my lap. Looking down strains the neck. She suggested a book stand. After reading several reviews, I chose this one. I couldn't be more please. This book stand is a game changer. It makes such a difference at reducing the pain in my neck.I love the clear acrylic version, which makes the stand almost disappear. I love that it swivels, which makes it easier when I want to highlight something. It holds the book up at a great height. It is not quite at eye level, but it is sufficiently tall so that I am not looking down.You can squash it so it is flat when you aren't using it, but I find it easier just to leave it expanded with my iPad or book on it.I wish I had discovered this years ago.

Hinge mechanism loosens and doesnt hold books, no way to tighten permanently since used screws/bolts as hinging mechanism
