Not a bad smart lock but NEEDS a Wi-Fi gateway
I have reviewed a number of these so I really have a pretty good feel for the smart locks at this point. This is the 7th different brand I have used or tried. I really do not like the way the unit installs - too many steps and pieces for the standard DIYer. I also do not like that this requires a separate Wi-Fi gateway as I think for the price of the lock and gateway you can get a unit that does both. All of that said it's not a bad price, it has a nice look and feel in comparison to other locks in this price range and if you do the prep work to assemble this ahead of time, the install is much easier. There are a couple of posts and some internal components that require three hands to really get in easily. Prep of those parts in advance helps the install process. The lock itself is easy to use, easy to configure, does a nice job of recognizing fingerprints and allows for one time codes. It also has some great basics like waterproofing, alerting, remote control and voice integration (with the gateway of course). In all, there are a plethora of options in this range and I would consider this one of the better ones after you get past the install and add the gateway. Of note, it's a little odd that it uses AAA batteries when most in this range use AA so we'll see how long they last but it's not a bad unit for the price.

This is the lock I have been looking for. Very smart design and operation.
I have used a few of these electronic dead bolt locks and so far, this is the smartest of the bunch. It has the lock/unlock icons permanently shown on the display, you don't have to guess where to touch the keypad to get it to light up. The last lock I used had no indication on where to touch it to wake it up, it also had the * and # buttons not the lock and unlock. I had to press around on the keypad until it decided to light up. To lock it after you were able to wake it up you had to hold the # button for 2 seconds to lock the door. Really a pain when trying to get out fast. Unlocking took fumbling around trying to get it to light up and then if a number button was pushed it would interfere with the code being entered correct. This lock you press the lock key and less than a second the door locks, press the unlock key the keypad instantly lights up and you can enter your code and then press unlock key again and door unlocks. The other reviews mention the easy install and how great the app is so I won't go over those except to say I agree. I do have the Gateway to allow control over this from anywhere with internet and I also have it connected to Alexa. The connection setup to these devices will depend on the gateway you have but it connected easy and works well with the equipment I have and should not be an issue for you. I do have a couple things that I find not to be the best option. It takes 4 triple A Batteries when most other locks have taken 4 double A's. I am not sure what the replacement interval will be with the smaller batteries but pretty sure it will be less time than the double A's. I don't really see this as a concern since the AA lasted over 6 months so if these AAA's need changed every 3 months that still is a good duration between changes. AAA's do allow a smaller inside footprint of the lock. The next option is the sounds the lock makes for key presses and operations. For key presses a tone is desired so you know it was accepted, when unlocked or locked from keypad a tone is also alright. What I don't need is a tone or 2 when I turn the inside knob to locked or unlocked, I know it operated because I physically twisted the knob. The knob twist tone is just kind of annoying. The last thing is the key, the cut on mine looks pretty insecure compared to the key for my truck. The path cut into the center of the key is wide and doesn't seem secure to me, I was not able to open it with a shim so maybe I am wrong. This is a 5-star lock to me. I look forward to enjoying it compared to all the prior locks that I tried.

You may need extra tools but this lock is still quite cool
I want to start by saying we had to use our saw to open the dead bolt area little bit because of the shape wasn't quite right but overall this is an excellent security feature. I would get one for each door in the house and it works seamlessly with Amazon's Echo devices.

Some locks do it all
This is one of them. It operates off the TT Lock app which we have a number of. It is operational with a fingerprint, a code, a key, a tag or remotely from the app. It even pairs with Alexa. Unfortunately, setting up some of those operations is a little confusing. The fingerprint reader is easy to use and very accurate. That's our favorite feature as this is placed in a door we use all the time. Installation is relatively straightforward if you've done this kind of thing before. The directions weren't as complete or as thorough as a complete novice might need. Phillips has the best electronic lock directions out there. But the lock works, and is a really nice convenience. And it really does have every feature you'd want - as long as you can figure out how to use them.

Super convenient and easy install
I ordered just the deadbolt for our door and liked how this had multiple unlock options. Install was relatively simple and the instructions are clear for anyone to follow. So far I've set up the passcode, key fob and fingerprint scanner for all of my family to use - each option takes only a few seconds inside of the app and is nice that you can set up under individual persons for ease of updating/removing if needed.Note: to use this remotely via phone/app you need the gateway that will connect the lock via bluetooth and to wifi. This will let you from anywhere unlock or lock your door as long as you are connected to service or wifiI am curious what the life of the batteries will be so will make sure to carry the actual key with me at all times, the only downside is the key is one of those that has the engraving down the center and one that likely we wont be able to get copied easily which this package only comes with two. It does come with a external battery hookup but that will likely never be used as who carries a USB battery pack with them
