Absolutely Amazing
I have been collecting guitars and “gadgets” for guitars for years. This one right out of the box was amazing. I learned two things rather quickly, use lots of rosin and be very light with the pressure on the bow. I started out playing quick little notes then eventually increased the bow strokes to play longer notes. For as small as the bow is it surprisingly easy to pull slower and longer notes then you might imagine. Incorporating a second sting is also easier than I had anticipated. After about an hour you should be well on your way.

Maybe more practice?
I'm having trouble getting a good volume, and non-squeeky tonal control when using it on my acoustic bass guitar. I seem to have trouble finding a proper pressure to maintain a steady tone. I should mention that many years ago I used to play viola, and maybe I'm just accustomed to using a bow pressure for that instrument. I am going to refrain from giving it a rating at this time, until I can possibly work out some of the difficulties I've been experiencing. Input about this would be appreciated. Thanks

Ok
Neat effect but the rosin makes a mess on the guitar and fouls the strings.

OK Novelty Item For Acoustic Guitar
The first thing you need to know about the Auphy is that it's designed for acoustic guitars with steel strings- not Nylon string acoustics and not electrics. It's used between the strings- not across them. So, if you want to channel your inner Jimmy Page, this item is not for you; get a regular violin bow instead. This guitar bow is well-made with quality materials, and comes with everything you need to use it. It takes quite a bit of rosin to do the job, and quite a bit of rosin powder will be left on the strings and elsewhere...that's why the polishing cloth is included.A soft touch yielded the best results for me. Don't expect great sound right away, as it will take practice to use the Auphy effectively. The "pick" on the side of the handle could be used in combination with the bow, but it's awkward. This is basically a novelty item for acoustic guitarists, but it has possibilities and is not terribly expensive.

FUN NOVELTY
The media could not be loaded. it's really cool and fun. It definitely works. I read mixed reviews and had to try it myself.

Not very effective - tone volume is low
On my acoustic guitar the tone is barely audible. I tightened and rosined the bow, and just could not get a good tone from it. The rosin also coats the strings which is messy to clean up afterwards.

It takes a lot of practice, but honestly didn't work for me, the rosin included damaged my strings
I wanted to get this bow to play with my bass, I've never played with a bow, so it wasn't easy to know how.The size seemed good to me at first, but then I realized it was necessary to be much longer to sustain notes. It's pretty small and compact, certainly easy to store as well as including a bag and some kind of rosin. The drawback or downsize, is that it releases a lot of rosin when playing and that causes that get pretty stick to the strings of my bass getting pretty dirty, sticky and pretty hard to remove, and in certain way damaging my strings.Certainly if you practice a lot, you could get an average sound, but in my case, I regret to use it, because later, I have to clean a lot the strings and were not the same after using the rosin over the strings.

Don't get this
As nice as it is with the idea that you can play your guitar a particular way, the residue left on your strings from the rosin is terrible and it'll ruin your strings. It'll also just leave a sticky mess on your fingers if you don't clean your strings right after. Don't ruin your guitar with this.
