Smart Home: Reliable Zigbee Sensors for Heating or Cooling
Reliable Smart Sensors with Zigbee2MQTT IntegrationI use several of these devices throughout my home, and they've performed flawlessly when paired with Zigbee2MQTT. They offer long battery life and consistently accurate measurements. I’ve integrated them with Node-RED and Home Assistant to display sensor data and automate other devices, including my heating system. A simple, effective solution for anyone building a responsive smart home.

Good design, works well with a Zigbee network.
The humidity sensor integrates in to the Zigbee network easily and keeps sending humidity and temperature information back to your phone. To get the information on the phone, you will need the Zigbee gateway connected to the internet. The main reason why I got this sensor to trigger a Zigbee switch to switch on my exhaust fan if the humidity is high. And this function was easy to set up on the ewelink app. For this to happen, you dont need it commented to the internet as it all happens through the Zigbee network. The sensor itself is neatly designed and it works on button cells (with a claimed life of 2 years before you need to change button cells). It also comes with double sided tape and it can be stuck to an appropriate place of your choice. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Unreliable pairing
I bought 6 of these sensors, 4 worked well and two needed to be paired a few times before they worked but overall they are a good buy. Although they come with good fixing is disappointing that the sensors are now round as the previous square ones were ideal for standing on a shelf or picture frame.

Great little monitors, superb value
These are great at what they do, packing a lot of functionality into a nice small form factor. They connect easily to home assistant (via zigbee2mqtt) and give accurate readings. We’re using them to monitor the temp and humidity in our cellar and find them really helpful for working out what we need to do with heating/ventilation to keep the rooms damp free. Great value for money - would definitely buy more of these

One in every room!
I have 4 of these around the flat, linked to my Home Assistant Green. Battery life has been amazing, with all reporting full battery after several months of use. They are accurate enough for monitoring temperature and humidity within each room, and stay connected without issue.

Unresponsive and a waste of money.
Running with a Sonoff Zigbee dongle. These devices apparently have 3 modes of operation: Not updating temperature or humidity regardless of changes in environment; updating humidity at 5 min intervals (but not temperature); unavailable. They pair readily enough, but thereafter will probably do nothing. Resetting them doesn't work, nor does removing the battery for a while. This isn't range. They're right beside the dongle for testing. This isn't compatibility (unless Sonoff has managed to produce Zigbee devices that are incompatible with each other). This isn't battery. They're fundamentally unreliable to the point of unusable. It's difficult to assess accuracy when the fundamental communication isn't happening. This is - apparently - well known as an issue with these. I've bought some competing devices and have no problem with them.I would strongly recommend avoiding these.

Mama knows best
With a new born in the house I needed to know the temperature in each room to make sure we were not over or under dressing them. These sensors are compact and can go everywhere. We get a notification if the temperature is too hot or cold. They are built really well and have a magnetic base. Good buy!

Connectivity can be tricky to perfect.
Initially very poor connectivity on a couple of sensors ( a temperature sensor and a door opened sensor), with one needing regular restarts. After a lot of fiddling with repeaters in the same room as the sensors, the temperature sensor is working fine with no drop outs. However whatever I try, the door opened sensor still regularly drops out for an hour or so, and then reconnects. At least it does not need restarting. Now all my 6 temperature sensors are working flawlessly, after very attentive support from the seller, I am upping my review to 4 stars. I guess batery powered zigbee devices are very sensitive to the zigbee signal and this may not just be a Sonoff issue.
