Peaky Blinders: Complete First and Second Seasons 1 & 2 DVD SET

We ordered the first two seasons and enjoyed them very much! However, when we tried to order the third season a warning appeared that indicated the third season dvd would not play on US machines. What's up with that?

I've only seen season 1 so far, but I am already hooked. This time in history is very interesting to me and is an intriguing flip side to life at Downton Abbey (set in the same nation at the same time). Cillian Murphy stars asThomas, a pensive, troubled, brooding WWI vet. He leads the Peaky Blinders gang and is truly the "brains" of the organization. He is cold and calculating, but at the same time is very sensitive and caring to his family. All the characters are compelling and overall the cast is excellent. Sam O'Neill bothers me for some reason - his accent is a bit overdone. This story weaves in elements from history such as the Irish fight for independence, the aftermath of the Great War and the growth of Communism. I highly recommend this show.

Peaky Blinders is a sort of English version of Boardwalk Empire..... racketeering and bootlegging, race track rigging etc. The Birmingham and other accents are fairly heavy and although I could understand them my hubby put the subtitles on. Lots of sex and violence.

Bought as a gift for my brother. We both enjoy the series, but in the case of it disappearing off of Netflix, I figured he should have a hard copy. Comes in original packaging.

Very disappointed I cannot get season 3,4,5, for region 1. WHY?

I really enjoyed the series and can't wait for the next one.

Personnages charismatiques voir caricaturaux, ville tenue par la mafia locale. Une histoire de famille qui accroche dés le début, des prises de vues à la Gang Of New-York. A regarder !
