Great bike, great value!
A great value for a road bike. I use only for fitness, casual cycling. Assembly was pretty simple, and adjusting the seat height and handle position no problem. Shifters work great, though I'll take it in to a shop for fine tuning. The chain does rub slightly against the chaingate on the 4th gear, big ring. And shifting is occasionally rough. Seat is comfortable, I ride with no additional seat padding, just the chamois. I've ridden about 65 miles on it so far so no opinion yet on the tires or tubes. Only real concern is the brakes (they're weak and slow to stop so be careful) and the chainring set. Only 14 speeds and I already feel that top gear isn't providing enough resistance, but maybe that's normal. I'm coming from a 21 speed mountain bike that has lots of resistance at top gear. Overall absolutely love the bike. Totally recommended for anyone that doesn't want to spend $1000+ on a road bike.

Better than expected
I have anther cheapish Amazon bike, the Giordano libero 1.6. I bought this bike because my girlfriend lives in a different city and I wanted a bike there since I visit for weeks at a time. This bike is great!!! Don't believe the complaints about the seat, it's very comfortable. The breaks are also much better than my other bike. One thing I recommend after assembly before riding is taking a paper towel and holding it against the rims while spinning the wheels; this will remove tiny aluminum shavings that may be the reason why people have complained about the breaks because these breaks are great. I didn't notice the aluminum shavings when assembling, but when I spun the wheel the paper towel became silvery and it took a few spins on each rim to get them completely cleaned off. You don't want those shavings costing your break pads. I'd say this bike is better than my libero 1.6 in every way except one: the bikes gears don't go as high, so on a flat straightaway I feel like I need one higher grear to really push myself. If you already do 100+ miles per week, you might want to look into replacing the cassette. Luckily for me my girlfriend lives in a city with tons of hills, so it's not an issue.I can't comment on the pedals because I never installed the provided pedals and instead put on some SPD clip in pedals. If you aren't clipping in, the highest gear is probably high enough. The bike arrived quickly with all the tools needed to assemble it. The provided 4mm hex wrench was a bit loose, so I used my own to avoid stripping the break pad screws. Assembly was faster than I expected and the rest wheel and breaks didn't need any adjusting. It took me about a half hour with the help of YouTube videos to get the rear derailleur tuned perfectly, but it really is perfect now.

Great Value Here
This is a great buy for those at the entry level wanting to get into cycling. I didn't really know if cycling was really for me, but I've been having a blast since my first time out on the Vilano Shadow 3.0. Now I ride 2 to 3 times a week, and am glad I made decision to buy this bike. The brakes are strong, integrated gears shift really well (i think i do this more than i should lol), and making adjustments is fairly simple. Which brings me to my one knock, and that is I probably would prefer a larger size. I have the 57cm, trust when I say anyone over 6ft is going to spend significant time tweaking this bike to get a good fit. That said, it can be done if you have the time for it. If you meet this criteria, its definitely a buy in my book.

Wonderful, low-cost bike. LUDICROUS SPEED!!
I bought this for my son as a birthday present. He really wanted a lightweight racing bike to ride to school and wanted the racing-style handles. Got it in the box, it only took about a week (and I'm in Alaska) and nothing was damaged or missing. Other reviews mentioned that the directions were terrible, I didn't that that was the case at all...and I've never worked on a bike before. You'll need to make sure you buy some grease and have the "Presta" type of valve thing handy to fit into this tire (I didn't so I just ordered one). Otherwise, he finds it comfortable, easy to haul around, and just all-around cool looking.

Lots of bike for the price!
This bike came in great shape and was easy to assemble. Great looking bike for the price. NOTE: you'll need to purchase a spoke key for $8 to true the wheels. You also should purchase a better saddle - the one we got was $19 and works well. You'll also need a bike pump with a Presta nozzle.

Tires aren’t it
Do not rely too heavily on the tires this bike comes with. My front tire popped when the bike was idle at 90 psi although it was rated for 120 psi. Otherwise, the bike works and looks great!

Quality Bike for a Reasonable Price.
Easy to assemble but I still took it to a bike shop to have it looked over for safety; overall bike is quite sturdy and rides super smooth through shifting. I'm definitely in love with this bike and am so glad I decided to make this purchase. Sizing was perfect for me (I got the 53" and I'm 5'9" 210 lbs) and it's light weight. Seat is solid, good quality. Shifting levers do require some practice, but I definitely got the hang of how much pressure to apply after a few mins riding. I would highly recommend for a beginner bike if you are Iooking for quality on a budget.

Not for the small.
I'd say if you are an average height person, the 49cm is the right size bike is for you. This is a quality bike but being just under 5'5" and a 29" inseam, the 49cm was even too tall for me. I read some of the reviews that lead me to think I should go even bigger. I'm glad I didn't. To ride it I had to cut down the seat post. It was either that or remove the bottle cage screws but two bottles are a necessity!! I also plan on switching out the head set to get the handle bars a little closer. That's another thing to consider. Unless you are buying bikes the pros use, all the parts are going to be the same regardless of frame size. It certainly a nice bike for the price and it performs well. I certainly love the dual shifters. I would have spent 2 or3 hundred more at the bike shop just for their cheapest bike. And believe me I looked around locally first but I don't have the kind of money they're getting.
