Creative Abstract Watercolor: The beginner's guide to expressive and imaginative painting

This is a wonderful watercolour book. The illustrations are bright, the projects are interesting, the instructions are very detailed and clear. You can make surprisingly good art following the book. I hope the author makes another book with even more projects. It would also make a beautiful gift for someone you love.

This is a beautiful book. It’s different from any other watercolour book I have. The colour palette is gorgeous and there are lots of lovely projects to do. It would be great for beginners as there are explanations about materials and in depth tutorials of lots of different techniques. The photography in this book is stunning. I’ve included photographs of some of my favourite techniques and projects. It would make a lovely gift for a beginner watercolour artist or paper crafter. Lots of videos can be found on the internet of people doing beautiful projects inspired by this book and author. I’ve very excited to see that Kate Rebecca Leach has another book coming out later in the year! I absolutely love everything about this book.

Truly stunning throughout. Very accessible as I'm not very confident. The techniques at the beginning are very useful, and she explains clearly what equipment/paints are needed. The projects are beautiful, and even though I'm very much an amateur, I feel confident to have a go. It is something I will use again and again.

Beautiful book, good instructions for learning how to create abstract watercolour. Bought for my teenage daughter who is very creative. She really likes the book and is happy to be learning another skill within watercolour painting.

I ordered this on a whim as I liked the cover! When it arrived it looked and felt good. Excellent quality paper and clear, concise information. I like it for the ideas when I lack inspiration and the fact that it is a book you can dip into and do a quick piece of art work when you don’t want to spend ages planning what to do.

This book is totally inspirational and provides step by step guidance on creating a piece of art. For ages I’ve been dissatisfied with what I’ve ‘created’ on paper but now I can stand back and feel a total sense of accomplishment- thank you!
