Best traps on the market
Best traps I have used. Easy to set. Rarely miss catching a mouse. Easy to bait with some peanut butter. Other traps will often miss a mouse or catch a tail because they walk across it and trip it. This one almost requires that the mouse sticks their head in to get trapped. Ensures a quick kill. No thrashing around or dragging the trap under something in the garage.

Amazing
These mouse traps are fantastic and really effective. After spotting a mouse in my workshop, I blocked the entry point and picked up these plastic traps. The results were impressive with two mice caught the first night, and the next day one trap even caught two at once. While limiting their access outside and not having food in the building probably helped, the traps themselves worked perfectly. They are very easy to set and bait. When using peanut butter, it’s important to press the black button so the trigger isn’t stuck to the white base; otherwise, the trap may not set correctly. Placement is also crucial, I found the best results by positioning the traps in choke points where the mice were active.

THE traps to use!
These are THE mouse traps to have! Easy to use and dispose of dead mice. Literally, two fingers for disposal; never touching the mice. Mice are killed instantly. You hear a "snap" and that's all. These are the first replacements for ones we've had for years. Easy to clean to remove old peanut butter which is very good bait.

Work great!
They do not lie! Tomcat traps do the job! All the traps that were tripped caught a mouse. The mice were dead!! Reusable, some caught mice a second and third time.

Effective and easy to use.
With a chronic mouse problem, I have lots of experience with Tomcat press 'n set mousetraps. First, I'll note that they are easy to handle, from baiting to setting to disposing of mouse. Secondly, they're effective. They catch and kill mice. Maybe now you're wondering, why only four stars? If I could, I'd give 4.5 stars. The missing half star is because when re-used, they become less than 100% effective. And by that I mean, the trap springs, but a fraction of a second late (I think). And so it lands on some other part of the mouse instead of the neck and it isn't lethal. Then you have a horribly wounded mouse to deal with. In my experience, they can usually be reused safely 3-4 times. After that, I throw them away, because it's not worth dealing with a misfire. Having said that, I believe it would be true of any similar mousetrap- there's always the potential for a misfire. These are a little more expensive than some other brands but I think they're worth it.

The best!!!!
These are the best!! We live way out in the woods and see lots of mice damage in the garage, wood pile on the porch, plow truck, backhoe, every where. These traps are very easy to bait, set, and dump the victims out, then reuse. Put the trap on the floor and push the lever down to set it, pick the trap up by the lever and squeeze it to release it without touching the mouse. I’ve used other styles but nothing catches more, not even close! One overlooked but very effective ‘passive’ feature is the shape, mice are attracted to holes. Some advice I’d give (for any trap) is use Tomcat mouse attractant gel in some traps, and peanut butter in others. Alternate the two baits around in different areas. It seems the mice get finicky after a while. I notice both baits are pretty much equally very effective, but I’ll catch a whole bunch one right after another and then nothing. Swap the baits around and the cycle starts all over again. Another thing, test the traps with stick a couple times just to be sure it’s sensitive enough. If you look closely you can see where the trigger part is catching and get an idea of how sensitive it will be. Mice follow the scent of other mice so try not to clean the bait area too much. Mice also like to follow along walls and leave scent trails so put the traps there if possible. If you see scent trails in other areas of buildings, wash them off.

Go with these
I hate using kill traps, but I tried the humane ones over a very long period of time with no success (they'd work here and there, but they did not make an impact with regard to my mice issue). I decided to switch over to the kill traps for inside my garage and home (I don't use them outside due to the other wildlife that frequent my property). My mom gave me some of those cheap Victor kill traps - OMG, just don't even go there. They made me anxious, and rightfully so, they go off just setting them down. They are terrifying. I baited and set one and it went off twice on me just trying to place it. And that was the end of that. The kill bar is held up by a microscopic metal tab and they are so flimsy. EVERYONE I have relayed my trauma to has similar trauma with those cheap Victors (though many still are brave enough to continue to use them - such as my brother, who I learned after the fact was the one setting my mom's traps after thinking she was all courageous for using them). These had great reviews, so I went with them, and they are so worth it. Initially I thought they were one use, but I was disposing of them frequently enough I realized it was going to get expensive if I kept throwing them out. So I sucked it up and lifted the bar off one that had caught a mouse, and the mouse came off really easy, and the trap was easy to reset and still baited. No blood or anything. It's heartbreaking (I hate killing anything), but I find them simple to use otherwise. And while these are obviously sensitive, they are easy to set and sturdy and I feel confident carrying them and placing them (unlike the Victors, you can get a firm grip on these and it is very obvious that your hand is safe from being snapped when you handle them if for any reason one ever did go off while you were moving it). I am not sure how many uses they are good for, but I have one trap that has been used two times, and I just reset it for a third use with no issues. And the price on Amazon blows the purchase price of these traps sold by other retailers out of the water, it is such a good deal (even if you plan to dispose of them after one use). I wish more people would use these over the sticky traps, those break my heart, no living creature should have to slowly waste away, or gnaw off a limb to save themselves. They're just living their little lives. If they weren't so destructive and unsanitary, I wouldn't mind them at all. At any rate, I think these are the most humane option as far as kill traps go.
