Excellent kit
Revell makes extremely nice model kits, and this one is no exception. There was minimal flash and injector pin marks on the body, making paint prep a breeze. I used Tamiya silver metallic then 4 coats of clear Tamiya red for a great look.I suspect that the cost of including rubber slicks for the rear wheels made that option not financially practical for Revell. Plastic racing slicks are included, they are two plastic pieces you simply glue together. If you sand them (chuck the wheel in a drill to make fast work of it) give them a light sanding( 600-800 grit) to remove the glue line then lightly putty with your choice of putty ( I only will use AK) and the parts should come out with no seam lines.Based on how happy I am with this kit, I am going to buy their other dragster "Cop Out" which will look nice next to Flameout. Five stars for sure!

Not for Everyone.
As a expert on model building,I found this one a little tough.First of all the packaging was damaged during shipment. The box was really bent.Thankfully the model was in good shape.I would advise a better box for shipping not a oversized envelope. The price point here was good, shipping time excellent. One point here is plastic 2 part wheels not your typical rubber.I did have better wheels in my stash box to alleviate that problem.I will advise for beginners to stay away from this dragster.Super small parts, and lots of flash are the major problems. You will have to purchase paint, glue, sandpaper and all the tools all found here on Amazon. For a beginner I reccoomend kits with a skill level of 1 or 2.For instance a 1957 Chevy Bel-air also found on Amazon. As in all kit building Pateince is a virtue. In the end here I say start out with a skill level 1 if you are a first time buyer of model cars.So start with a level 1 for your initial build,Amazon has plenty of those or try another local hobby shop.Good Day.
