JubileeYarn Bamboo Cotton Chunky Yarn - 100g/Ball - Smoky Sky - 2 Balls

Both skeins had a knot in the middle tying two pieces together. I contacted the seller and they informed me that this was industry standard. I am a beginner at knitting but I have bought about 30 skeins from different companies and of varying quality/price, and I had not come across knots inside skeins until I received this JubileeYarn. I don't yet know how to deal with a knot in knitting so my project didn't turn out how I imagined. I guess I still have a lot to learn...

I'm new to crochet, but I like the weight and feel of this yarn. It has a heavy weight to it and is slightly slick. It's on the stringier side and the twist tends to unravel, which means you have to be careful not to catch mid thread and it can't be worked over too many times without it losing its twist. However, I think this is just the nature of the yarn type which has a nice chunky striped affect to it. I got the smoky sky color which is a cool gray in person.

I've ordered from this brand multiple times and have noted that some of their skeins isn't a quality donut. Some of the skeins have yarn with plys that already split and a few have a knot in the middle of the skein. The knot can be easily taken out but it looks tacky. I do enjoy working with this yarn and brand but they need better quality control!Update:I used this to make an infant hoodie and used 6.5 skeins of this yarn. The yardage is quite short for the price. I checked other brands of weight 5 yarn for this yardage and similar brands is around 4-5 USD making Bamboo MN 2 dollars pricier.I want to love this but having made a project with this yarn I'm not sad to say I will not be reordering. Multiple skeins did have knots which was taken out properly or cut. I have lost yarn with the skeins when opening them. I am not a center pull user. I typically use yarn from the outside and the center can get tangled with the outside end. Bamboo MN, makes their skeins in a way that makes it difficult for people like me to use their yarn. I ended up turning mine into a cake to avoid the potential barf that can arise with this yarn.I also noted that the this is a 6-8 ply yarn which can easily separate from each other. I'm not sure how they make their yarn but that makes for a lot of splits and having to rework various stitches to keep the work uniform. I understand that this blend of yarn can separate but I've used the fiber blend from another company with far less splitting.Overall this isn't the best quality of yarn. I really want to love this yarn but I can't see myself returning to this collection now that my project is complete.

Let me start by saying I REALLY wanted to love this yarn. It's incredibly soft, the color is gorgeous (I got the tidepool color) and the price is good.However... As I was working through my first skein, I found 4 knots. 4. While unknotting it, it began fraying. When I say fraying, it essentially disintegrated into a ball of string. So, after huffing and puffing my way through what should have been a quick skein, I moved on to the second. I unrolled the remaining three and re-balled them. I found a total of 11 knots in four skeins of yarn. As I'd already unpackaged it and started working with it, I couldn't send it back. I got into third largest ball, it kept unraveling to the point of being unusable.I would never purchase this again.

I’ve ordered several skeins of different colors and different weights of yarn from this brand and company. I’d previously purchased the chunky and loved how soft it is and the sheen on the yarn. Had a commission that specifically wanted yellow and red and I told her these yarns are what I would recommend. Sadly, the yellow skeins were terrible this go around. The yarn was split in random places so I randomly had strings poking out around the middle of my piece, had a knot right near the very beginning, it ended up making my commission piece look cheap and frayed and I had to do another one hoping the remainder yarn would be enough and I wouldn’t run into the same problems. The red yarn I bought separately was brilliant and 5 stars like usual, but since yellow was the main color with red to contrast, it made all the loose yarns stand out. Tried clipping what I could but I’m worried if the strength and integrity of the yarn was affected. Normally I give nothing but 5 stars to this company so this really disappointed mePictured is same brand in different colors. You can visibly see where the knotted yellow is on the headband. Usually beautiful though

Ordered 2 skiens to knit up a pair of mittens as a last minute gift. The twist isn't tight, not a fault really but you need to be very careful as individual strands like to separate from the twist. The first mitten knitted up well and I had a bit of yarn left over from the first skein. For the second mitten I used all of the second skein plus what was left over from the first and I am still short to finish the thumb and the gift recipiant will be here in a matters hours. Kinda frustrated at the inconsistent skein size.

This is the most HORRIBLE yarn to work with!!! Every skein was so tangled and knotted up it was impossible. I had to figure out how to unravel it from both ends because it was so badly knotted. It’s beautiful and very soft - I guess that’s possibly the problem. It unravels as you’re working with it too. It was beyond frustrating. I am on a deadline with an Afghan I’m trying to make as a spec gift but I hope they can even use it - it so easily tangled and easily unraveled. Do NOT PURCHASE THIS - it also has a strong smell that I can’t figure out, like an essential oil or like it was washed in buckets of Dr. Bronner’s soap! None of this is worth the headache to detangle this yarn and yet keep it from unraveling. Impossible!!!!

This very hard to work with and I found, as others have said that there were many breaks and knots. Not one continuous length as you would expect.
