As a Japanese person living in the States, it's always a struggle to find authentic Japanese snacks. No matter which supermarket I hit up, it's the same limited selection. However, when I cracked open this Dagashi Box, I found a bunch of legit Japanese snacks that I'd never come across here. The mix of sweet and savory treats is just perfect, and the variety is a real treat for the taste buds. Plus, even though it says "50 pieces," some boxes have extra candies, so you're getting even more than expected. The packaging is adorable, making it a great pick for a gift. Count me in for another order – this was a win!

This product is great if you want to make it an activity for you and your partner to enjoy new foods together. My husband and I open one or two every night and mark the ones we like on the information pamphlet that it comes with for each product! I’m very happy with this box! There are a lot of great tasting options in here! Great buy!

I love the idea of this package. Almost everything was tasty except for one of the fish flavored things. It’s just a personal preference because I’m not a big fish person to start with, so I don’t associate fish with snacking. Everything else definitely did not go to waste.

I really love things like this. It can be very hard when you want to experience another culture but you aren't able to travel to those places and purchase items from shops. That's what makes boxes like this so pleasurable. You get exposure to real authentic products that give you a small sampling of the culture you want to experience without you having to blow your budget or struggle to find decent things.This box really solves all those problems. Earlier I said 'small sampling' but the truth is I was impressed by how much stuff they actually offer you. The amount of things they've stuffed into this little box puts some of the American snack boxes to shame. So far I've enjoyed every single item I've tried from the boxes and enjoyed the little booklet that comes with it.I do like the descriptors of the items and the fact the booklet gives you a picture so you can kind of figure out what you're enjoying. I do wish there was some form of English name added as well lol because then if you find something you really enjoy you could also try and find a way to purchase that online. With nearly all the labeling written in Japanese that's the one hardship, you just can't.I also love the outer packaging of the box itself and will be keeping that long after the box is gone. I think you get a decent amount of stuff for the cost of the box and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a treat box who has interest in Japan or even just someone looking for a box that;'s fuil of new and unique treats they may not have had before.

I bought this for my son, for his birthday, which is not here yet. It looks like there is quite a bit packed in this box and lots of variety. The box is very cute and eye catching, also. What I am not at all happy about, is the fact that the box is not sealed shut, nor is it placed in a delivery box! It is just delivered in the red box you see, unsealed. I also did not like the fact that since it was not in a delivery box, the shipping label is just stuck on the top of this decorative box. I did manage to remove the label without damaging the box , but it left sticky residue from the shipping label. It would be a really nice box to present to someone, if not for the shipping label issue. Delivery packaging really needs to improve!

The contents of this snack box matched the description, and included a helpful insert giving some information about each of the included snacks, with pictures to help identify them for non-Japanese speakers. There was a good variety of flavors, including a decent balance of familiar and uncommon flavors. The texture variety seemed balanced as well. The box was packed very full, but nothing inside was damaged, and all items were well within their best by dates. This would be an excellent gift for a lover of Japanese snacks or a nice snack sampler to share with friends or family.
