I love the BUDI Multifunctional 9-in-1 USB C SD Card Reader! I can see why other reviews have been positive. First of all, let me talk about the speed - 5Gbps read and write speeds are lightning-fast, making it perfect for transferring high-definition movies or files. The fact that it supports OTG function on mobile phones is also a major plus, allowing me to charge my phone using its 65W fast charging cable. The build quality of this USB C SD card reader is top-notch. The aluminum alloy construction gives it a premium feel, and the rubber cover provides excellent protection against scratches and damage. I've been carrying this around with me for days now, and it still looks like new. I love that it's plug-and-play, with no drivers required. This makes it easy to use on multiple devices, including computers, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones. The high-performance built-in chip also allows me to read three memory devices at once, making it a breeze to transfer data from various sources. The compact size (160 x 41.8 x 19.7mm) and lightweight design (110g) make it easy to toss into my bag or pocket, without compromising on functionality. My only minor complaint is that the USB C SD card reader only supports mobile phones with OTG function. However, this hasn't been a major issue for me so far. Also, one of the pictures shows it has a stand for your phone, it does not. Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with this product. Love this memory multitool, it’s the Swiss army knife for the digital age!! Reads and stores all of my cards from my cameras and other devices with no installation or set up needed. It just works.

1. When the device is pulled up from the outer housing, the storage slots for the cable adapters and full size SD cards do not hold their contents very well. My adapter tips and cards fall out every time I open this. 2. The phone holder cannot be used at the same time the card readers or USB port are in use because they are on opposite ends of the device and it slides up or down in the outer housing blocking the ports when the holder/stand is exposed or blocking the stand when the ports are exposed. This isn't a deal breaker for me, but it is an area for improvement. The cards and adapter tips spilling out every time is the reason for not getting five stars for the price. Other than that, it is great storage, transfer, and cable management device for on the go.

Got this for a photo safari to store memory cards and double as the chip reader. Has plenty of space for my needs, nice sleek form factor and is great to have both my cards and reader in one package.

I've read conflicting reviews about how well this works with iPad, so I'm happy to report that it works very well with my iPad 9th gen using the OTG Lightning adapter. I was able to transfer a few dozen gigabytes of GoPro footage to and from my iPad / micro SD card / USB thumb drive using this tool. Passthrough charging worked also. But there are three things to be aware of: First, this is an unpowered hub. This means that you will not be able to do things like copy from a micro SD card directly to a USB thumb drive. This is because the lightning port simply doesn't provide enough power to drive both devices at the same time. This isn't Budi's fault, it's true no matter what brand you use. Using the USB-C port to add power is an option, but then you'd have to use the USB-A port to connect to the iPad, leaving no other USB ports available for the thumb drive. I didn't realize this ahead of time so I had to copy footage from the microSD to my iPad, unplug the microSD, plug in the USB, then copy from the iPad to the USB. It *might* be possible to use a separate powered USB hub plugged into the USB-A port. I haven't tried this and will update my review if I do. Second, the USB cable in my unit bulges out slightly when it's tucked into the storage slot. This causes the outer housing to catch, and unfortunately this has chewed up the cable's insulation a bit. The cable itself is nothing special, so you can solve this by simply carrying a USB-C / USB-C cable separately. I used an 18" high-quality cable without any problems, and honestly that made the whole setup a lot easier to work with. Finally, there's conflicting information about the warranty. The product description advertises a one-year warranty, but the manual that comes with the stick says the warranty is only 15 days. All in all it's a great travel tool. I use it to back up footage from my GoPro to cloud storage or a USB drive via my iPad. Definitely a worthwhile purchase as long as you can live with its limitations.
