Cute Recipe Book
Great quality! And super cute design. I bought it to put my personal recipes in but I would definitely buy it again for either a housewarming or host gift!

Very nice, perhaps a little too nice for ordinary usage
The description does say "preserve family traditions" and I think this book is for recipes which have already been perfected. I am still in the process of working out some recipes for some things. "Does banana bread work better with oil or butter?', for example. But the journal is so nice I don't want to mess it up. I think what I might do is transcribe some of my late mother's reliable recipes (some written on loose paper, some on index cards) to this book so they are all together in one place.

A lovely recipe journal
A lovely recipe book to keep track of your family recipes, your favorites, or to give as a gift. The cover is solid and wipes clean easily. The recipe pages have ample space for ingredients, directions, and the added “tips and tricks” section. The table of contents is great, making finding that one recipe much easier. The book is sectioned into standard meals and a section for treats. The pages seem a little thin, but a nice way to keep your recipes easily accessible.

Everything organized in one place
The old school recipe card system works well for some, but for someone like me who is constantly misplacing things, keeping all of my cards together just wasn’t very realistic. Some years ago, I began using notebooks to write my recipes in but the covers would get all bent out of shape or the thinner paper wouldn’t allow for writing on both sides of the paper. Coming across this recipe journal was exactly what I needed. The cover is thick, durable, and easy to clean should it get dirty. The recipe pages are outlined beautifully on a thicker paper, allowing for as much use of the paper as possible. I love how the book is separated into different categories like treats, dinners, breakfasts, etc. and the inclusion of a table of contents was a smart move. No one enjoys spending oodles of time looking for that recipe they know they have but can’t seem to find anywhere. Table of contents does away with that dilemma.

Perfect as a gift
Got this to give a handwritten collection of recipes as a gift to my sister and it's much nicer than expected! The cover is very durable and easy to clean if it gets dirty - which I expect it will if it's being used in a kitchen! The pages are thick and have wonderful detail on the edges. The book itself is separated into sections like dinners, breakfasts, treats, etc. plus a table of contents. I've been slowly adding recipes to it and when it's full it will be a birthday present for my sister. I think she will love it!

Pages Are Very Thin
I liked the layout of this recipe book and chose it to have a dedicated soup book. Unfortunately, the paper is so thin that a regular, water-resistant pen (because cooking can be messy) bleeds through to the other side. This reduces the number of useable pages by half. This is a major oversight for such an overpriced recipe book.
