Does what it says on the tin, however it does throw up loads of spurious minor faults compared to a genuine Mercedes system. That said when you look at the spurious fault they are bizarre… don’t get too excited clear them off. More importantly it does find the genuine faults. I was impressed with the test faculties, component teach in process, special functions and adaptions to settings which replicate the MB Star system well. The only thing I could see missing was the bleeding of the Auto Transmission oil after it has been changed, if it is in there I couldn’t find it. Handy tool to have in the glove box on an out of warranty MB.

Bought this LAUNCH X431 Elite V2.0 to complete an ABS Bleed on a 2009 Skoda Fabia.- Successfully updated the Launch Software to the latest version for Skoda V28.50 and other System updates. Unit charged 97%.- Unit properly and securely connected to my 2009 Fabia which also had a 12v booster pack attached.- Unit repeatedly would not auto-read the VIN. Had to enter the VIN manually.- With a manual VIN entered the unit would not auto identify the System type.- Unit not able to generate a health report.- Unit not able to access any Guided Functions.- Unit could not identity ODB2 protocol.- Unit displays 'update software' indicator when all software is fully up to date.- Unit displays various comms errors.- Rebooted/reconnected/retried. Connector reconnected, rechecked. No change.- Photos of the errors are availableRaised a support ticket with LAUNCH but they declined to support this product as it was from LAUNCH China. So there is no European support.My old X-tool VW diag ODB2 tool still connects fine and works. Used my neighbour's Kingbolen diag tool and that connected fine too.Unit returned to Amazon UK for a full refund.

As a motorist and owner of an old Mercedes C180, I wanted to be able to read/clear fault codes and conduct a diagnostic test following replacement (secondhand) of the Yaw rate sensor.I found the LAUNCH X431 Elite V2.0 for Benz instruction manual excellent, getting me started and running a Health Report (Quick Test) in no time. (I did spend some hours studying the User Manual first though)Given the main dealer parts/labour costs, even if just a one-off use, the LAUNCH X431 Elite V2.0 for Benz paid for itself. I will be interested to learn more about the tool over time as it seems to be quite a sophisticated bit of kit, but of course leave the work to the professionals.

Doesn't bleed ABS pump like it said it does. Software very glitchy. Probably ok for simple tasks - but icarsoft V3 better
