Effective when mounted with care
When the tripod thread is connected to your wildlife camera, be aware that it may, depending upon your camera, prevent the battery compartment opening. This is probably of no consequence, since I’m sure you’ll be unscrewing it from the tree or post before trying to swap batteries.I have an old apple tree stump in the garden, which was an obvious place to try mounting one of these. The round bar is 5.3 mm diameter, and I wasn’t sure whether a pilot hole would be necessary – it wasn’t. I found it easy to get the hole started and just continued to wind it in. It soon became obvious that I had erred in my placement to start the hole, as the right-angle bend soon began hitting a bump in the bark adjacent to the mount, as may be seen in the photos. When I mounted the camera, another error made itself plain, I hadn’t drilled-in to the stump horizontally, so the camera points downwards. Also, as the camera mounted on the stump only has a horizontal tripod socket on the back, I cannot change the angle laterally.I then mounted the second bracket into a 10cm/4” fence post, to make starting the drilling easier, I chose to start in a pre-existing crack, again I found it easy to screw/drill into the post with the mount and got it mostly level this time, see photos. The camera on this bracket has a tripod socket on the bottom, so I can alter the horizontal aim.The serrated clamps work well to hold the cameras steady and in both cases, I found the cameras were more sturdily mounted than I expected. I can of course easily unscrew and re-drill the stump mount to be level and in a better place. Regarding the lack of horizontal aim, a small photographic ball-head could be mounted on the bracket and the camera mounted on that.

Great accessory for small action camera owners.
This is one of those things that you don't realise that you need until you try it.Although designed for attaching 'trail' cameras to trees in the woods, these mounts are ideal for anyone who uses small 'action' type cameras. The mounts are simply screwed into any wooden (or other softish surface) and the camera attached to the other 1/4" threaded end.The camera can then be swivelled horizontally by moving the screw in portion and can also be tilted at the camera end using the built-in thumb screw. This is a great accessory for any content creators filming in the outdoors as setup is minimal (only involving screwing in) and will be immensely useful for quick angle changes.Great value and very versatile!

What a great idea 💡
What a brilliant idea this is. I have a trail camera which I use both at home and also take up to our caravan in the Spring and Summer. It has the common fixing which is a length of long webbing which goes through two brackets, and can then be attached around a tree or post. This system has been so frustrating. The problem is that the camera takes 8 batteries, so is quite heavy, and while you are trying to secure the unit with the cord, the camera constantly slips down the pole ! It’s not too bad if you have two people – one to hold the camera, and the other to tie the cord, but that’s not always possible. Plus, the cord gets ringing wet, so is all soggy by the time you come to untie it. This frustration has actually put me off using the camera, which is why I was so delighted to see this particular product. In the box, you will receive two brackets. Ideal for placing in different parts of the garden, or perfect, if like me, you transfer the camera between locations. They attach to the camera via a ¼ inch universal standard thread, whilst at the other end there is a screw for screwing into a tree or post.I prefer not to screw it to my tree, and instead have used a pole which did have a bird table attached to it, but only the pole remained after a recent storm ! Recycling at it’s best ! Alternatively, I could have attached it to my shed.I am really pleased with these brackets as it means I can now keep watch over the wildlife in my garden, specifically my new pond. It also means I have a spare to take to my caravan where it will be attached to the decking. In conclusion, these are 100% better than using the previous and extremely frustrating fixing strap. I can see them also being useful for other equipment which uses a standard ¼" thread.I am certainly very happy with these brackets, and very glad that I found them.

Elegant, functional
I'm always grateful for simple and functional design. Don't get me wrong, aesthetics is important but not for everything. This device is elegant. It does exactly what it is intended for and it does it well without any unnecessary bells and whistles. It allows a vantage point for a photographic device or perhaps a spot light to be created very quickly by simply screwing the device into some wood. That could be a tree but doesn't have to be.This has a standard tripod thread on it and as such pretty much anything with this size mounting socket can be placed on it. The end which secures this mount into wood is a fairly fast thread. Getting it going can take some force but once started, it goes in quick. This is made easy due to the fact that it was designed with a simple crank. Different types of wood will be easier and more difficult so you may have to search around a bit for a suitable substrate. In my pictures you can see I have screwed it into some standing deadwood. This offers so much more flexibility and options than a tripod and it's also less conspicuous. A great product. 2 in the box. If you like remote filming / time lapse then this might interest you.

Solid as a Rock
These sturdy little devices hold my slew of GardePro A3 and A3S cams WITH security box and a dangling Python lock securely. Buried deep into the many Aspen trees on my property, they are mounted just out of reach of bears and any potential two-legged wanders. You get what you pay for.

decent trail camera
I got this for my son, who is a hunter, but he told me that first, he is going to use it to try to find out where rabbits are getting past his fence around his back yard. He hasn't caught them yet, but it should be just a matter of time. The picture quality is not bad. I think it is a good product, and a good value.

Small Compact Size - Good Motion Detection and Resolution
This trail cam is smaller and lighter then my previous trail cam which stopped working after 5 years.I choose the 02D2 Tree Barks color and it blends in perfectly with the foliage in my area. The camera comes with a mounting strap, USB cable and 32GB SD Card. This camera requires 8 AA batteries which are not included. The camera will take 24mp pictures and shoot video at a max reslolution of 2304x1296 @ 30 fps. It has night vision with low glow LEDs.The camera still pictures and videos look great. The night vision and motion detection also were pretty well. The price of the camera at the time of my review is $169.99 which is about average. I'm using my camera as a security cameras for a remote property and will use it as a game camera this fall during hunting season. So far we've captured two deer, a skunk and coyote on the camera. If you're looking for a good trail cam that's easy to use and affordable this one is worth consideration.
