PocketBook E-Book Reader 'InkPad X Pro', 32 GB Memory, 26.2 cm (10.3 Inch) E-Ink Mobius Display - Mist Grey

I want to be clear: if you want an e-ink "device", a tablet that you can do everything on, you will be disappointed, because it is slow and might glitch if you use heavy apps. Having said that, as a book, it is just wonderful because: 1. It does not distract you with anything else, it doesn't try to pull your attention like your phone and probably tablet does. Its user interface is simple and just enough, any unnecessary features are omitted. 2. The battery (with WiFi and Bluetooth turned off, and without usage of heavy apps) lasts long. You can get about 30-40 reading hours even with a slight frontlight. So it does feel like a book, if it's what you are looking for. Another thing, but that's's true about all e-ink-readers: it is noticeably easier on eyes than even such good screens like Super Amoled, because it doesn't emit light directly to your eyes, but rather diffuses it.

This is a $350 device? Absolutely not. This is barely useable. It’s slow as molasses, things won’t download to get them onto the device, the reader is obviously asking for too many permissions with google bc google blocked access, it’s very slow (I mention it twice bc it’s bad). It’s not useable for anything other than maybe just reading, which then you can get cheaper alternatives with android os. The whole point was to do studying with google play apps and this just doesn’t do what it’s meant to do in any meaningful way. The os feels like a $90 device and if that was the price then maybe I’d say fine. But not at the price it’s listed at.

1. Home button does not work 2. Other buttons work 1 out of 3 attempts 3. Device stops in the middle of nowhewere - restart needed. I did it 3 times in 15 minutes of using 4. Blutooth connection does not work neither with Android devices nor with Mac. Ok, it worked once after numerous 'blotooth unit has mistake' - again restarting 5. Once after 5 attempts to connect it was finally connected - only 1(ONE!!!) file was transferred successfuly, other two stucked - device does not support the action or file format (fb2) 6. It is extremely slow and unreliable 7. lower panel in book reading mode do not appear 8. Ok it could read epub small book of 150 pages, but this is it. 9. Battery goes down quite quickly, assume 2 weeks it will never last. I really did my best to get this piece of plastic work, but no. Made return finally.
