Most chess sets at this price range, or even slightly above suffer from…1. Small boards2. Pieces that are easily knocked over due to no/weak magnetsThis set does not have either of these problems. The board is nice and large, and the magnets in the pieces are strong. All in all, well recommend and cannot be beaten for the price.

Loved that this isn't actual wood. ( The wooden ones I have seen lately have been made of ply wood and are poor quality)this looks very realistic but is easy to clean with a lovely smooth finish. Great for traveling with as can be sanitised with wipes.Good size board that closes and stays closed so pieces don't fall out. Good size pieces and the magnetic pieces do stay in place.Pieces are brown and yellow not cream as I thought and I actually prefer the yellow. Comes with 3 handy bags to keep the pieces in and they all fit inside the folded board.Love this and my son loves it. He's only eight but has learned how to play and this is perfect. The box shows the chess set on it when it arrives so if for a present then maybe have it sent to a family member or neighbour but this is great for adults and kids. Easy to store and slide in a case or shelf.

A nice chess/draughts set. For the money paid you can't really grumble. The chess pieces are magnetic, but the draught pieces are not.

My son asked for a chess set to get started with and we did lots of research. We really liked this one because it was magnetic, it has the added bonus of being a chequers board as well as a chess board and it was a good size. We felt a smaller version might be quite difficult to navigate a beginner. There are bags to keep the pieces in, this is really useful!! Helps to keep them safe. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent quality for this price. Only downside was that it arrived in a box that had an image of a chess set- not ideal for a gift.

The board is plastic and feels fairly hard wearing as a case. That said, the lock on the side may not last...we’ll see.The pieces are lovely overall. They are sharp and the magnetic element is very good. The pieces don’t move when the board is nudged.Sadly the surface of the board is a thin print on a magnetic layer. The print scratches easily (see pic) from the pieces and any grit or dirt I imagine. Also the top layer isn’t applied very well.

Chess pieces being magnetic are great for playing with young child learning the game. Pieces being contained within the board makes it a good game to take on holidays.

Economica ma ben fatta. E' magnetica. I vari pezzi sono fati bene, non bisogna avere troppe pretese però. In tal caso si opta per modelli molto più costosi!!! La sto usando per insegnare ai miei figli il gioco degli scacchi e ci stiamo molto divertendo.

No es no excesivamente pequeño no excesivamente grande , con lo que cumple muy bien su cometido . Muy practico lo de las piezas magnéticas y para niños me parece una gran elección . Calidad razonable a precio contenido

Je suis très satisfait du produit, il est de très bonne qualité, le plateau de jeux est très beau et bien finit, avec une fermeture pratique. Les jetons sont très agréables au toucher et très bien aimantés ! Le jeux de dames inclus dans le pack est assez pratique pour les enfants ne sachant pas jouer aux échecs.Je recommande l'achat de ce produit, très bon rapport qualité prix !

Presa per le mie figlie che volevano imparare il gioco della dama (per gli scacchi ci penseremo tra un po'...). Tutto bene e funzionale ma 1) le pedine della dama NON sono magnetiche 2) le pedine sono un po' difficili da impilare per fare la dama (niente di impossibile ma mi sarebbe piaciuta una maggiore stabilità). Leggo dai commenti che anche le pedine vendute singolarmente da una noto casa di giochi italiana non si incastrano una sull'altra, quindi forse una mia aspettativa eccessiva.
