Hilou Paint Your Own Animal Figurines (Elephant, hippopotamus, lion, tiger and monkey)

These are cute, but they are plaster - NOT CERAMIC. It's not the company's issue that Amazon lists they when you search for "ceramic," but my 2nd Grade students and I found them frustrating to paint. The paints provided are very low quality so we used craft acrylic paints and it still peeled off with the slightest rub.

The price is a little much but the quality of the ceramic figures is very good. The brush is ok and the paint is ok. We used our own brushes we bought a while back and used most of the paints supplied. Unfortunately the red was dried up. Got a little out of it to make some orange but that's about it. I have purchased cheaper but not with the detail and variety of these animals.

Cute but extremely difficult to get resin out of mold. We had to destroy a couple of molds to get the figure out.

Perfect for my 7-year old and her friends! Love that there are six pieces. Dries fast and the figurines are the right size. Paint was also easy to clean up. We’ll probably end up needing more paint but this was perfect for a group play date.

Great gift. Ordered other sets as well as some good acrylic paints and set of brushes for my friend’s 11 year old daughter. She loved them.

The figurines are adorable, however, the paint is dried up. I have paint left over from other paint projects I will use but this was a huge disappointment.

So I ordered these for my son to paint and they were great, but the reason for 3 stars was I received 2 hippo's and no elephant. So I wasn't to happy with that.
