This is a really cool light it’s a little smaller that we thought but is bright and very colorful.

This is a nice little solar globe that shows the planets in orbit around the sun. It's not a 100% correct orbit as several planets in real do not have a circular pattern and are not all on the same plane but none the less it's the effect of our solar system.The ball is perfectly round and slippery. Weighing 652grams it's not something light you want to carelessly carry around as it will smash feet or break things on the floor. I have dropped it already and it did survive a hit on the hard ground, but I don't recommend it. The base it sits on is just big enough to hold the ball fairly securely which is made of wood.The lights that comes with this are standard RGB with an IR remote included. When in the color-cycle mode there's no brightness control and it's on full bright which the ball will focus the light onto the ceiling very well. This really needs a black cap to prevent this as at night it's very noticeable.The power requirement comes via USBA plug for which at the strongest brightness it's using 1.6W of energy and at a red most dimmest mode uses 0.06W. For a nightlight a 3000mA/3.7V battery will last somewhere around 180hours vs a little under 7h at full bright. On a wall plug, not included, a minimum requirement is a 0.5A 5V supply which everything supports today.In terms of the quality of the etched features the images are pretty crisp. There is a specific perspective to look into the ball as the text is not a flat object but with some 3d to it. To this when at a planer view the text does get a little "blurry" where as a 30-40deg view it's all clear.The added stars give some fun to the solar system, in reality they don't exist but that's ok as this is an artistic decoration. It even has some comets going through which looks like scratches in the photos.

The media could not be loaded.  I love this little thing. Staring into it brings me happiness. Perfect item for yourself or as a gift. Plug it in, and change the settings with remote several color options, with continous color or rotate through colors. Several speeds also.

I thought this lamp was going to be bigger than it was. It was quite small about the size of a small snow globe which is what it kind of reminds me of. It’s sturdy and looks good. I have not plugged them in because they’re gifts. If I remember I’ll update review after Christmas about how it works and looks lit up.

The planets look nice. It is not an accurate representation, but who cares. Any kid who loves space will love this. The colors are nice, as is the base. It's a great night-light. The words are a little fuzzy is all. I wish this had been designed in a way where it cannot roll at all. Maybe shaped with a lip at the bottom that sits into the base a little more firmly. It is very smooth and round and I almost dropped it twice before we even got it set up. I worry it will be broken in my child's room. Other than that it's great.

It's a lot smaller than I expected and the words are a bit small so unless you're right up close to it you won't be able to see the words but it is cute and the light is pretty bright
