Les Revenants

This album is definitely more atmospheric than most other Mogwai albums I've heard. It still has an intensity, but not as much of the contrasting dynamics that they usually bring. This one never really rocks out. It meanders a bit, but that seems reasonable given the source material (which I've never seen). Overall, it's enjoyable and I'm happy with the purchase.

If you've watched the American version, you need to see this one, as well.

A bit more laid-back post rock than normal from Mogwai. Stumbled across this first on YouTube and had to wait for the CD to be available in the States.

I want to start by saying that I absolutely loved the show that this soundtrack was written for, it's a masterpiece. secondly, the music really struck me while watching the show. It's just really lovely with a touch of sadness. What is music if it doesn't invoke some sort of emotion? Great soundtrack!

This is my newest obsession! I watched both season 1 of american remake and both seasons of the french original and I fell in love with this music! I listen to it at work, at home while cleaning, driving - almost every day! fantastic creation!

Even if you know nothing about the entrancing programme you'll love this soundtrack if you enjoy a spooky auditory ambiance. I'd heard of Mogwai but never really paid them much attention. If this is a sign of what they can do, I'm looking for more.

Appropriately moody but beautifully melodic in a melancholy and sometimes vaguely menacing way ... wonderful in the background at work.

Wonderful soundtrack to a beautiful TV series. The Returned was the most original and thought provoking take on return of the dead ever made in my view, so very different to the American approach. Mogwai provided the perfect soundtrack which is haunting and very evocative of the series. I find it hard to judge the music without the pictures from the series in my head but I suspect that it would still work incredibly well simply as an album.

More chilled than their usual fare. Ideal chill out tunes with the lights out after a stressy day. A bit creepy in places: to be expected given the subject matter!

Fantastic album, really fills the room with a brooding feeling.

I have found this to be a beautiful album....atmospheric ........I like many others enjoyed the TV series and the soundtrack enhanced my enjoyment.....when listening to the full tracks you are pulled in by their beauty.....I like Mogwai's stuff anyway but particulerly enjoyed this.......

Loved the TV series and thought the soundtrack was amazing. Just had to buy it! The whole album lives up to expectation. I can listen to it over and over and not get bored with it. Absolutely worth purchasing.
