Generic Vacuum Hose Assembly Gray, Compatible with Dyson DC14

The hose on my 2+ year-old DC14 broke and I thought I'd have to get a new vacuum cleaner, till I saw this replacement hose for such a reasonable price. It fits like a glove and, most amazingly, my DC14 is completely rejuvenated, even better than when it was new. Just vacuumed my house after installing the new hose and the suction seemed exponentially better, probably because I didn't realize that the original hose had been deteriorating and possibly leaking! Anyhow, I can't recommend a better way to put new life into an older Dyson DC14 than by getting this new replacement hose ... it sure is cheaper than buying a new Dyson! Oh, and don't pay attention to negative reviews about this hose not fitting properly. Not true! The fact that Dyson's parts are modular and can easily be replaced speaks volumes about the quality of the Dyson design. This hose snaps into place in mere seconds.

The hose itself fits perfectly and works just fine. But when I got to extend the wand it’s so tight that it’s a huge pain. I don’t know if that’s just because it is new or what. But it does work really well.

Don't know why it took so long to replace my dyson hose. It works perfectly with my vacuum cleaner. It was easy to replace this part. The price is reasonable. Highly recommend this replacement hose.

Was very excited when I received the hose and it looked like the durability/quality was decent, installed the bottom part of the hose with no problem at all, snapped right in. Then I tried to connect the upper part of the hose to the metal piece that slides down into the hose, it seemed like it would clip in ok but when trying to slide the metal piece down into the hose it would not budge... So I went and made sure that there was no dirt buildup or anything on the metal part that would be restricing it and got it looking like brand new, still didnt fit... Thinking that maybe it was just because that this was the first time installing and it would work itself in, I even went and got corn starch to make sure that the reason it wasnt going in was because it was brand new plastic and it was too sticky, STILL DIDNT FIT... Then I went and found the old hose that I was replacing and measured both pieces to make sure I wasnt crazy, it was about 1/8" or more smaller than the original so obviously wasnt anything I was doing. I did read in another review that some people were saying their "DC14 Animal" and I dont think that is what I have, but my model number on the vacuum is DC14... Who knows, tried to go cheaper but knew better, always stick with manufacturer parts, sure you can save a few bucks but this is the kind of crap you have to go through and we all know that the quality is inferior in aftermarket replacement parts...

This is the second hose I've purchased since my original Dyson hose was replaced 3 years ago (my vacuum is nearly 15yo). While the attachment is great and fits my Dyson, the stretching of the hose seems to weaken the glue over time where attachments or the extender extend from. I bought this again in Aug 2025 to replace the previous replacement from 2023. However, this hose broke/detached after several vacuum sessions -- as if the glue didn't hold at all while stretching the hose with cleaning extension to clean ceiling corners. Unfortunately, it's already past the window to return it. I'm unable to contact the seller and skeptical to buy another house in fear that it will happen again.

I received this extension really fast. My hose broke on the Dyson and I vacuum every other day or close to it so I needed a replace me fast! I didn't have the money to buy a new dyson and it was recommended not to try to tape the hole up, which was my husband's first thought. I'm glad we got the product! The reason for only 4 stars it that it is a tight fit with the hose and the handle and I have to really tug on it to get the hose out to fit properly when I extend the hose. It is a good product and works great except that I have to really pull on the connectors to make the proper fit. I would recommend getting this if you don't want to order straight through Dyson.

I had read a few reviews that said the hose was hard to put on, but it wasn’t. It took seconds to switch the old with new. Dyson vacuums are top notch, and that’s coming from a housekeeper who has purchased many vacuums!
