Thorne Research - ResveraCel - Nicotinamide Riboside - Supports Healthy Aging - 60 Capsules

I have been taking niagen for 4 months now, ordering the Thorne Research products. At first, I purchased 2 bottles of the 250 mg niagen-only product, and the last time I ordered I switched to ResveraCel...just to see.The effect on me has been nothing short of spectacular. I am 62 with a full head of hair that is mostly grey. Since starting with this product, my hair has turned several shades darker. I would say I have gone from roughly 70% grey to roughly 40% grey - and in certain light I even see some reddish-brown highlights in my hair, which I thought I would never see again.Further, my vision has improved somewhat. This is somewhat incredible to me, but true. I need bifocals, which I seldom wear because I hate them. Consequently, I have not been able to read the odometer in my car or on my motorcycle for a long time...they are just at the wrong distance. Similarly, I cannot see a computer screen to read it without bifocals (I normally just put readers on over my regular glasses). Within days after starting this supplement, I noticed I could read my odometers. Now, I can read the computer screen without my readers on. In fact, my readers have become almost optional; I do use them after I have been on the computer for awhile and am experiencing eye fatigue, but I can now go for quite awhile without them.My beard had turned all white, causing me to shave it off. That is changing; my moustache is now salt and pepper, and my beard is showing more and more dark hair in it. It is happening in patches; my moustache is now roughly 50% dark, while my beard on my cheeks varies from nearly 0% dark to maybe 15% dark. My beard under my chin and on my neck is roughly 30% dark now. I now have a 5 o'clock shadow again (white beard stubble doesn't show very well against white skin, so the shadow indicates more dark hair). I also have new dark hair appearing all over my body.My skin has improved enormously. It is much more supple than it was. This is particularly noticeable on my hands, which were very tough and leathery from a lifetime of exposure to sun and lots of different chemicals (I like to build things, and have encountered many types of chemicals including all kinds of paints, organic solvents, nitromethane, lots of isopropyl alcohol, various adhesives, etc). My hands still do not look young; there are spots on the skin that I am thinking of peeling to get rid of, but the skin itself has gone from tough and leathery, with very little elasticity, to almost as elastic as a young person's hands. The skin on my face has improved, many skin blemishes (though not nearly all) are fading or have vanished, and in general my skin feels much more lubricated, flexible, and supple. I used to experience a certain degree of pain in my skin from dryness, scaling, and lack of flexibility...all of that is gone.I also have a lot more energy. When I go walking, I now sometimes feel like breaking into a run - and I don't mean a trot, but a full-out, completely extended run...and I do it when I am in a situation where I can do it without creating any kind of stir. I have not felt like doing that in decades.I am also losing a bit of weight. Given that adding this is the only change I have made to my lifestyle in the last long period of time, I have to assume it is playing a role in that.From the reviews I read here, I think I am experiencing a more pronounced response to this stuff than most people experience, but I will certainly take it. I have to assume that there are things going on with my internals that I am not aware of that mirror that which I can see. Regardless, I am simply stunned by the effect, and you may rest completely assured that I am going to continue with it.

My husband and I are in our 60s and have been taking these capsules for a few weeks. We both started with 2 capsules daily and experienced an increase in energy and in focus. We also both had trouble remaining asleep at night and had strange dreams. We have decreased our consumption of the capsules to one per day and have had a resolution to the sleep problems. We both continue to enjoy an increase in energy and in focus. We have reordered this Thorne product and are very satisfied with the results. It would be best to start with one capsule per day and work up from there until you find your own correct dosage.

Head seems to be more clear and I'm sleeping a little better after the first month of use. My blood pressure went from 150/100 to 121/72 ( I had my doctor check it 3 times because it has never been that good } . Yes I will continue to take it, just ordered my 2nd bottle.Update after 9 months of use. I had chronic fatigue for many years. 10 minuet walk would wipe me out for days. I'm now up to 45 min. walk a day with no fatigue . Most of my other health problem have improved as well.

At first I didn't notice much, now I make sure to take it every day (2 gel caps). I used to have a lot of fatigue and a hard time remembering even simple things. The fog is gone and I don't struggle with words near as much as before. I have energy during the full day now. I've gotten a lot done since I first started this routine. Even when I don't get enough sleep I don't feel fatigued.

Good stuff but price jumped out of nowhere by $8 a month, no reason for this at all.

I like other Thorne Products and am SORRY to report a NEGATIVE outcome with ReservaCel. Tried both single and recommended two capsule doses and results were the same in different intensity - the more taken = the worse the outcome. Brief surge of energy followed by lasting headache, listlessness, sleep more difficult that night thanon days prior to taking (always took in morning). Tried on 3 separate occasions, same results.It would be a BIG favor to consumers if reputable manufacturers like Thorne would make supplements available small trial sizes to determine suitability especially with expensive ones like this.

About 3 months now, and although I can't claim this 'helped' me drop 20 pounds, or that my memory seems to be better as well as my analytical skills, or lifted my spirits, but I'm not going to stop using them. I don't want to know if it wasn't because of them.

After one month taking Resveracel/NR, I feel much more alert and physically energetic. Granted this is in conjunction with ongoing regular exercise and a ketogenic diet, but I still have noticed a difference since using this supplement.

I don't usually write reviews but this was an expensive purchase and it turned out well so I decided to leave my feedback.Firstly, regarding the price. I don't think it's overpriced at 50 GBP. You're getting quercetin, trans rev AND nicatinamide ribo so it makes sense really. Quercetin and trans resveratrol alone are just over 30 GBP for the same dosage and 20 GBP for NR and TMG.the dosage for TMG (trimethylglycine) is rather low but it's not really the main focus for the supplement and it's an amino acid that i'm not really that familiar with.The problem lies in whether or not you really want all of the supplements, however, if you're buying this for the anti-aging and anti-carcinogenic properties then they all compliment each other very nicely.Secondly, considering amazon's reputation for shipping fake supplements I'm willing to pay a fair price to ensure that I actually get what I'm paying for. I really don't want the headache of buying cheap NR.Putting into perspective that I would have to buy trans resv separately otherwise, this further minimizes risk for me so I'm pleased with that.As for the product itself, the packing seems good, tight. It came with an unbroken seal. The capsules are large but soft and fairly easy to swallow. This is my first time purchasing it so I can't verify the contents without a lab report. Usually what I do is keep a single pill (especially if the coating is translucent like these are) so that I can at least visually inspect any further purchases and reference them against old ones.Thorne have a very good reputation though and come highly recommended by reliable sources like Rhonda PatrickI'm young (29) and I do a lot of exercise, take a lot of other supps. I eat clean no sugar, complex carbs only and a lot of veg and healthy meats and fats so it's difficult for me to say if I've noticed a change.I did however notice the effects of taking sulforaphane immediately but that's to be expected.Personally I don't take x2 capsules a day because overdosing on NR can have negative effects. One being that niacin consumes methyl groups in excretion so we need to be careful, especially if you're an under-methylator. This may explain the comments describing poor sleep after taking two capsules a day and improvement upon reducing the dosage. Loss of methyl groups can have a variety of effects on the body and mood, not just poor sleep.If even one capsule is causing you some issues after a few weeks such as depression, low energy and generally the opposite of what you would expect, consider dividing up the capsule's contents and taking a lower dose that way.

They do cost more than I’d normally pay on supplements (hence 4 stars)but I definitely feel better taking these. ... 120 for the same price would be an excellent option!

Bisschen teuer, aber ich werde sie weiter nehmen. Allerdings nur in der einfachen Dosierung, d.h. 1x2 Kapseln Morgens. Ich glaube, ich fühle mich energetischer... Ich kaufe die auch für meinen Papa, der hat Alzheimer 😪 Mein Bruder lebt mit ihm zusammen und sprach von "magischen" Pillen. Offenbar ist der Papa wieder aktiver und quasselt mehr, allerdings immer noch nichts verständliches.
