Useful life only three weeks.
The camera worked well for 3 weeks.I bought this camera for a trip in May.I used it for a few days to see how it worked, everything seemed fine. For my three-week trip, I used it regularly. When I got back, I turned it on to take photos and everything seemed to work, but it wouldn't save the photos.I restarted the device, still no photos. I unlocked the device and formatted the card.Still no photos or films.

Light to dark recording issues, not water or dust proof, only good up close
Hello friends, I selected this honghoo 128 GB body camera for filming trips and capturing trash pandas. This body camera is not bulky and it is lightweight. It is easy to use and has an interchangeable microSD card. There's one included that is 128 GB. One of the things I do not like is that the card is exposed so if anything was to tap it just perfectly it would eject and be lost. It also is not waterproof or dust proof, which I think defeats the point of using it anywhere outside for the most part. I thought to use it on a bicycle but that's not going to work if it's raining or dusty. It only records up to about 10 ft. Good enough if you come in direct contact with something not so great for capturing the roadway. It definitely does not catch license plates. A fully lit recording is very clear. Night time is kind of like a staticy television. Anything in the in between causes the camera to malfunctional bit. I keep getting these large bold golden colored rods that appear as the camera is trying to decide if it's daytime or night time. I thought it was just the camera screen itself but it comes off in the recording. It's a bit of a distraction. So dusk and dawn could have issues recording. If it's being used in an environment that isn't very wet or dusty it's just fine. It's an affordable option for what it does. Taped up to a board facing a pile of rubble, trash pandas are clearly documented. I thought to try it on hummingbirds but they're out of season right now. They might find itself with an alternative view so other than what I intended. It's a fun gadget. Even if it's flawed.

Do you really need it?
Before purchasing, the first question I would ask: "What will I use HONGHOO Body Camera for?" If you don't have a clear mission, you may want to pass. As for the hardware, it is fine other NO image stabilization can make for a head-spinner. This is NOT an inexpensive replacement/second camera for phone or stand-alone. It is a body camera. Your videos will like those dizzying police body cams on YouTube.
