I like the slim line of this product that lets me slide it into my pocket just like I have always done with my phone alone. I also like the strong magnetic bond with my mag iPhone case. I also like the ability to remove the shutter button and use it remotely which makes taking shots with the phone mounted (using the female 1/4" tripod socket built in) or taking selfies. I have a ShiftCam that has a battery that will charge my iPhone, but frankly I have never needed it. With this unit you can still plug in one of those small external battery chargers since the Lightening (or USB-C) port is exposed for use. With that you can also plug in a mic, light or other accessory. I just leave it on my phone since it is easier to grab the phone with the hand grip in place plus the hand part will open and make a stand up base so you can put it on a table. Great and solid product. The BlueTooth can drop from time to time, so expect to have to re-connect from time to time.

Great solid connection yet easy to use. Can take one handed shots and the connection to the phone by the magnetic ring is impressive.

Can’t use if you have certain phone cases or a pop shot. But even without a case and just using this, it didn’t feel right. Did not feel like a camera would. Kept having to remove it then I didn’t have a case. Just didn’t work for me. Maybe it would for someone else. The shutter part did work. And the magnet did stick.

- Very solid construction. Not flimsy.- Magnet holds very well. If you have an iPhone case built for wireless charging the magnetic grip is much stronger.- independent shutter switch works well. Some reviewers have said they couldn’t reconnect to their phone. Once connected it will disconnect when you discontinue taking pictures. But, to reconnect all you do is hold the shutter button down for six seconds.- Wrist strap is convenient.- Use of the device as a stand is very well thought out.No complaints.

Tricky to install, great magnet strength, great value for the money.

So far, so good. I have only had it a few days, so I can't give a review on it's long-term usage. If you stick the metal ring on the back of your phone case, the grip stays in place very well. I NEVER use my phone without it's case, so that part was very important to me. Nobody should ever use a $1,400 phone without first putting it in a GOOD case. I was skeptical about buying one at first because I was afraid my phone would come off and drop to the ground... but this actually works well. I take a lot of pictures, so the grip with the exposure button on it works quite well.

Description and pictures show a screw on tripod. I read this wrong tripod was not included. Still sort of liked the product and the benefit, Bluetooth had some connection issues. Decided to keep magnet seems strong. I have a true Apple phone case with a built in magnet and it feels secure.
