I got this to scare off Seagulls from my boat. They have been making a right mess and the lines with CD's and tape, whilst they work, they don't last.I saw similiar products on boats on holiday and glad to have found this.The good is taht it does work. Although you won;t be sure until Spring when the gulls are looking for boats to nest on, the 3 "Disco ball" type cups splash a good amount if scattered light onto the boat and beyond. The birds will hate that.It also spins quite freely and just works. I screwed mine down onto the top of a block of wood I use for the cover lines already and its secure there.Now the bad:The item came with all the bolts and nuts loose in the box. I had to find and replace a couple of things to get it all screwed together.Also it did not come with the longer wire "fingers", just the cup. When I b ought this, there were no options for other versions and so it was misleading to show pictures of the better models but only offer this product. They do not sell the wires separately.You also have to remember this is plastic. It does come with a small collar to insert inside the rotating part, but I doid wonder how long, spinning in 30mph winds on a mooring this will last. We will have to wait and see!!!

Arrived today and built within 2 minutes and fully installed within 5 mins.Instructions were not really required but were more than sufficient complete with pictures. The final top piece you can adjust the tension so on windy days it doesn't take off taking your prize koi carp with it.Living semi rural as I do, I do get quite a few heron visitations and even after spending a small fortune on a raised net, I still get visits. Hopefully, this might be another barrier to help him/her get a meal elsewhere.Oh, two different sets of screws and also nuts included presenting a few different options for fitting - another novel idea is the included screwdriver - which has a reverseable head for philips / flat bladeVery happy indeed but also hoping mister heron is no so happy !!

This product works very well when there is a wind. When stationary birds ignore.

The media could not be loaded.  Um meinen Garten vor ungebetenen Vögeln zu schützen, habe ich auf verschiedene Methoden zurückgegriffen. Zum Testen habe ich mir diese Windmühle bestellt. Wenn sich das Rad dreht, reflektieren die Spiegelhalbkugeln das Sonnenlicht in verschiedene Richtungen und schaffen so einen geschützten Bereich. Es ist bekannt, dass Vögel Angst vor sich bewegenden Gegenständen haben, insbesondere wenn diese funkeln. Mir ist aufgefallen, dass die Zahl der Vögel, die in meinen Garten fliegen, zurückgegangen ist, aber leider garantiert mir diese Windmühle nicht, dass letztere zu 100 Prozent fehlen. Nun ja, ich bin immer noch glücklich, denn es ist besser als nichts. 5 Sterne
