fiscaLight Up Fairy Wings for Girls Electric Flapping Butterfly Wings with LED Lights and Music for Kids 3+ Years Old, Dress Up for Halloween, Birthday and Party

This is for my niece. I took it out and checked it. Very adorable, and well made. Love the music and lights. It is also interactive with the child and parent.

The media could not be loaded.  I got these wings for my daughter to play dress up with. These butterfly wings weren't exactly what I expected, I thought they were thick plastic wings. The wings themselves came folded up and are very thin and I don't have hopes that they will last very long or will at least get bent or torn with a child playing with them. The paper thin wings are held together by thin plastic spines a little thicker than large zip ties that you have to snap into place. The directions are very confusing and it took me longer than the estimated 10-15 minutes listed. The multi colored string lights are very pretty but the string had to plug into the opposite side, run under the bugButterfly body/motor and run right over the battery door but was easily pushed aside to put batteries in. There is no hole #8 for each side so go straight up and then return as the directions show the numbers. The directions don't show well enough how the tabs go together for the top and bottom wings to plug into the butterfly. If you line up the small hole and small peg it will turn them the way you need to insert, I tried to show in the picture as best as I could. The straps for the harness are thin and the attachment of the harness to the wings are ackward, don't turn the way you think they would and I am not optimistic that they won't break off as they are a very cheap plastic. The sound/song is clear and once lit up they are very pretty. The sound can be turned off and the wings continue to flap but once you stop it again the wings will stay there so it is somewhat awkward to get them to open all the way again to lay them down gently (which most kids won't do). When my daughter was done playing I had to unplug lights, unplug wings, detach top and bottom wings and fold them gently, with lights still attached. The box was too short to store like this and keep them safe as the wings stuck out the top. As pretty as they are when they are together, I can't give a positive review as the directions were terrible, some of the assembly could've been done ahead of time and put in accomadating packaging that helps store them after play and as the product at hinted to they're going to best as a specific purchase like costume, birthday party, etc. it's not exactly an everyday toy or going to last long as a dress up option, they just aren't durable.

I think this is going to be a HIT for the holidays. I will update my review for when we actually use it. It is gift wrapped waiting to be opened at the moment. :)
