Totally amazing. the acting brilliant
Totally amazing. the acting brilliant; the story fantastic; pace wild, crazy adventure; This is a high octane ride through time. No idea why anyone would live back in the 18c but then again I have the one I love right here in this century. The characters of Clarie and Jamie are both irritating and fantastic by turn, so that part feels true to life. They have a real relationship with emotional ups and downs, lots of them, so it feels real. the sets are brilliant. This director and Co really should be pleased with themselves. The dirt and crime felt real and made me squirm at times. There were a couple of things that irritated me. They cut out important points that I wanted to be fleshed out.Claire comes back and if it were me I would want to know every detail, but they don't do some of the key most important questions. Frustrating!! He would want every detail of her relationship with Frank, but we didn't get the bare essentials. Some of it was miss matched as well. Things he was supposed to know and then Jamie seemed like he didn't know them. that irritated me. The director said that the viewer knows the information, but here we are dealing with a story that we are meant to get involved with. We don't care that we know, we want to know that Jamies or Claire feel about being apart for the past 20 years. That's the whole point of a story. I don't want to imagine they know it, I want to see the emotion and experience what it is like to be apart for 20 years. This is when I feel driven to read the book. I love reading, so I would normally have read the books, but this series was bought for me as a present from my daughter and it laid around for a while. when I started it, wow, it felt like a drug I could not stop having. I hope they don't skimp on any more of the important points. I will also say this is something I wouldn't normally watch. I don't do series as never want to get pinned down so this has got me and I both like it and hate it.

Season 3 Outlander
I did not like it in the beginning, except for certain parts. Episodes one to five are OK. Jamie and Claire live a life, separated , lonely, unhappy. He meant to die and did not, lives a ferral life, is imprisonned, becomes a groom and then becomes a printer. Only consolation: birth of a son but he may not even call him so! Claire lives with Frank and Briana, but needs something more as she cannot have what she wants with Frank. She becomes a surgeon but I wonder if Briana was happy with such a brilliant mother. When Frank dies she can go back to Jamie! Episodes 6 to 8: Will they be happy again, twenty years later? Meeting in a brothel - I skip the skull drilling everytime I rewatch it -, the printshop burning down, return to Lallybroch and meeting with Laoghaire. Young Ian Murray is kidnapped. Episodes 9 and 10. The voyage to Jamaïca to find young Ian. Claire stubborn as ever and the Porpoise with a hundred dying men, the menace on Jamie's head and Clair jumping in the ocean... Episodes 11 to 13: A little bit exagerated is the moment Jaùmie finds his Claire back on the island. How lucky was she to have "stolen" the little miror so she could make her presence known to Jamie who luckily stranded on the coast there! And then there is The Bakra. I did not like it at all. I love fantasy but the whole OL series are sometimes close to a reality line. Here it is not the case. I know the "vaudou" and this was just an exhibition for tourists. Sorry for the writers and the whole spectacle. Sorry for Lotte Verbeek, sorry for all the others playing in there. The rest was OK, but I am still wondering how Jamie could find Claire in such a stormy sea... The intimate scenes are wonderful and some others are great and spectacular.

I loved season 3 the whole reunion between Claire and Jamie ...
I loved season 3 the whole reunion between Claire and Jamie was fantastic i kind of wanted a little more for them thought they could have had more of a scene with reuniting and talking about their lives past 20 years and their lust and love for each other more desperate considering they'd been separated for so long. The relationship between lord John and Jamie was very strong you could tell Grey had strong feelings for Jamie that he couldnt act upon i felt sorry for him longing for something that could never be. Everything about season 3 brought out all the emotions in a person never knew they had. just wish they didnt delete and cut so many scenes on tv. I just felt they could have left them in the DVD some parts seemed a little rushed but over all i loved it. looking forward to season 4

INCREASINGLY PREPOSTEROUS, BUT ENJOYABLY SO
Despite their attempts to alter history, Culloden was not avoided. The new season begins with horrendous scenes of carnage, Jamie himself seriously wounded. Pregnant Claire is back in her own time of two hundred years later - but now in Boston, America, where husband Frank is a university professor.Twenty years pass until Jamie and Claire are together again - cue for much pulsating passion and adventures that may seem a bit much even for most ardent fans. (Critics claiming absurdities certainly have a point, especially on Disc 5. Others will simply shrug off the ludicrous excesses, regarding them as part of the fun.)Yes, there is fun - despite that truly grim start and further horrors experienced en route. As ever, the show is visually stunning (more so in the past than in the present). Helping everything to work are the charismatic leads, Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan - their chemistry so evident. Spare a thought for Tobias Menzies as Frank, aware his wife Claire loves somebody else far more. Many other characters make impact, viewers no doubt to have their favourites. (Mine? Chinaman Mr Willoughby, increasingly full of surprises.)Thirteen episodes of varying length, one of them seventy five minutes. Commentaries (here called podcasts). Interesting other bonus features, including the farewell to a major member of the cast. For maximum enjoyment, best to ignore those whopping coincidences (they presumably all in the books on which the series is based). Instead just sit back and wallow in this over the top love story that knows no boundaries.
