Wow. This is the 3rd Twisted Tale I’ve read all the way through and it was AMAZING. As an adult, reading “fairy tales” can be a little boring. Not because of the story itself. But because they’re literally catered to children who only understand black and white concepts. This book added such an amazing background for the story; a background that a lot of adults will enjoy while also giving that childish joy of reading a new story. I LOVED the characterization of Merida, Fergus, and Elinor so much. I think strong, independent characters are important for the young audiences to read. This book was funny and enjoyable.
