I love this! It has such a cute design, is easy to clean and is a good size for not overwhelming the refrigerator, cupboard or table. The handle is easy to grasp and so much nicer than the ones without. The ridge along the bottom isn't extremely tall, so if you aren't careful, the lid could slip off and shatter, but it is ceramic, after all, so being careful with it is a given. Also, it isn't huge, so won't fit a whole cube of butter. I simply cut one in half horizontally and it fits just right. I like it so much more than the ones that the butter sits IN instead of ON. In other words, the ones where the butter sits as if in a butter shaped "bowl," with a flat lid. Those get much more messy when you cut and remove the butter, with butter smearing all of the inside as you use it.Wrendale designs are so cute/rustic/humorous/ with animals filled with personality, I can see my kitchen slowly being overtaken.

Perfect size if you only want to take out some of your butter. Very good quality. Half pound of butter fits nicely. Cute calf on front.

A cute little butter dish. Size deceptive, seemed small but fits a butter pat perfectly. Very happy with purchase, excellent buy for a gift.
