Great product, easy to use, INCREDIBLE customer service.
We got this printer for my daughter for her birthday. When it arrived, the door was broken. Aoseed replaced the entire unit promptly. The second printer was perfect, and we loved using it. Unfortunately we've had some problems with the print head clogging. However, I think some of the time the problem was that the filament was wrapped around itself on the spool and wouldn't feed properly. Still not sure. After some troubleshooting, Aoseed sent me a new print head that was very easy to install--2 screws and done. It worked well for a while but then had some software problems. I might be butchering this explanation, but it was essentially a faulty motherboard. Once again, I sent the unit back and got a brand new replacement. It is working perfectly, and my son is currently printing collapsible katanas for his fidget shop at the school craft fair. It's amazing the things you can print with the X-Maker. WE LOVE IT!

3 printers and all have broken within weeks
I’ve had 3, they’ve all broke within a month. First, I want to say that this is definitely a kid-friendly or beginner friendly printer. It’s easy to set up and use. But that’s about it. All 3 of these we bought had the same 2 issues, but only one of them you can’t fix easily and can possibly break the print head. During some projects, I’m not sure what happens, but it seems like the filament doesn’t stick to the object as it’s printing. What ends up happening is a pile of interwoven filament that looks like a pile of overcooked thin spaghetti noodles ends up taking over the entire inside if you’re not watching it. Next, the filament will get stuck in the print head during printing and nothing will come out. The machine doesn’t know so it keeps going on with the project. But the worst part is once this happens there’s nothing you can do to pull the stuck filament out. It’s literally concreted in there. I did everything recommended by their help articles: heated it up to try and soften the filament, tried to remove the collar (but it broke) to pull out the tube (tube won’t come out), literally nothing worked. So the filament is stuck, therefore renders the machine inoperative. Once this happens you can either replace the entire print head or kiss this machine goodbye (along with the $400+). Their customer support is no help. They responded to the first few emails but once I told them I did everything they suggested, they ghosted. Their Facebook group was no help either, no one responds. I’ve wasted a ton of filament during this process. We’ve tried different kinds, different colors, even from different brands - same results.

Fun for all.
Fun 3D printer for kids. Prints well, not professional quality but for kids it is great. Good value for the money. Does take a while to print. Easy to use and set up.

Great Beginner 3D Printer, but a bit Pricey for What It Offers
I purchased the AOSEED X-Maker 3D Printer for my 10-year-old’s birthday after he gained some 3D printing experience at school and wanted to create more at home. I specifically wanted a Wi-Fi–capable model so I could remotely monitor and control print jobs, detect failures early, and save both materials and time. Wi-Fi connectivity also allows direct printing from a phone without having to transfer files via USB or SD card. Bottom line: this feature was non-negotiable when researching 3D printers for my son, as it significantly enhances oversight and ease of use — especially important since we were both still learning the 3D printing process. Setup was simple, even for someone like me who isn’t a 3D printing expert. The printer comes preloaded with plenty of ready-to-print models, which helped my child dive in immediately. The option to upload and print custom STL files is a nice feature for when he’s ready to design his own projects. I also appreciate the enclosed build area and auto-resume function after power interruptions — thoughtful touches for family use. That said, print times are slow, even for small items, and the single-color filament limitation quickly becomes a noticeable limitation as skills progress. Given that multi-filament printers with more capability are priced in a similar range, the X-Maker feels a bit expensive for what it delivers. Pros: • Easy setup / intuitive interface • Pre-loaded with many fun designs • Ability to upload and print your own custom STL designs • 3D design resumes after power outage • Enclosed, safe 3D design print area Cons: • Long print times • Single-color filament option only • Noticeably louder than expected • Limited value compared with more advanced printers Summary: Overall, the AOSEED X-Maker is a solid beginner-friendly 3D printer for kids and families starting their 3D printing journey. It’s safe, easy to set-up, and fun to use — just be aware that it’s better suited for early learners than for those looking to experiment with more advanced, multi-filament creations.

Super fun for the whole family
This is a kid friendly 3D printer that is easy to use even for lower elementary school kids. I would recommend you skip the Joy maker and go for this printer as the Joy maker has very limited features and you are unable to design your own prints. This printer is simple to use but mighty in functions. Highly recommend.

The printer arrived fully assembled, and its compact design fits perfectly on my desk, making it a great space-saver. Setup was effortless, thanks to the leveling-free feature and magnetic baseplate, which made the process incredibly user-friendly. The easy filament loading had me printing in no time, and the care email with helpful instructional videos ensured I had a smooth and enjoyable experience. The printer delivers precise, high-quality models, especially with intricate designs. Overall, this kit is perfect for kids and beginners, unlocking endless creative possibilities. Highly recommended for anyone looking to dive into 3D printing!

Not a good machine, Customer service is not helpful
Bought this for Christmas for our child. It printed the first few things great....about 1 week......THEN all of this started. I followed all I could find on YouTube to fix the issue, tried different files, different fillaments, leveled it, calibrated it, reached out to customer service where we started emailing back and forth to one another....for 2 weeks! And they tell me unplug it and re plug it in. Only use their filament ( we have and sent photos of issues with the fillament that came with the machine). Sent me videos to follow, I did them ALL. We did EVERYTHING and they keep saying let us get you to someone higher up where they start the process all over again. Returning this printer and all the useless items it has printed. Customer service is not willing to help and for the price this is and it being a "kid friendly" item...It is not.

Good beginner 3D printer at the right price
Purchased this 3D printer for my sons around Christmas for $359. (If it was more expensive I would probably just upgraded to a Bambu lab a1 mini) We’ve had it about 1 month and everything for the most part has gone smooth. Very easy to use with the app, my sons can just pick what they want to print from the app and literally just hit print and it creates it. You can also download stls from the web and adjust them to fit the printers base plate size. Everything pictured was printed on this 3D printer. No it does not print multi color, we used acrylic paint pens to make the multi color look. Only issues we have experienced is the app going down for a short period of time and the printer disconnecting from the app. The app going down was most likely due to the Christmas usage surge but was fixed within 2 hours, hasn’t been an issue since. The printer will sometime lose connection, but it’s as simple as turning the printer off then back on. Also the instructions are pretty basic. The Facebook group about this 3D printer has been the most helpful for learning more about the 3D printer. Overall I’d definitely purchase this print again at $359 super simple for my kids to use and for me to do a little more advanced things like downloading STL files from the web. This does make me want to get a “higher end” multicolor printer, though I knew it wouldn’t be so simple for my sons to use if we had.
