Electric Kettle Cool Touch Double Wall, Stainless Steel Interior with Auto Shut Off, 2 Liter - Stariver Limited Time Deal

It broke this morning. Just short of two weeks AFTER I can return it. We've only been using it for 6 weeks.Aside from that, it wasn't a stellar kettle. We've been using electric kettles for years and love them. I wanted to upgrade from plastic to stainless steel. This seemed simple and uncomplicated. It felt cheap. The cover doesn't open widely for comfortable pouring in of water. You have to exert a bit of pressure to get the lid to catch -- not hard, but you have to pay attention. Our old plastic kettle had a nice wide opening for pouring and only required a light touch to close. This one also has a few spots where you can burn yourself accidentally, like brushing the exposed metal parts while reaching for the handle. It also does not attach to the base seamlessly. You have to wiggle it around a bit sometimes to get the connection point. Boiling time also wasn't as fast as our old one.I wasn't completely thrilled with this kettle before it broke, but it did its job ok. Now I'm stuck with a piece of junk that is broken.I do not recommend purchasing this product.

Purchased this product during a lightning deal. Received it on time.The package was open and there were glue marks and dents on the product.I wrote to the seller who was courteous and very prompt in sending me a replacement which was again, an open pack with funny glue marks that wouldn’t come off.I decided to go ahead and use it since the seller was kind enough to respond on time.Within first 2-3 use, the indicator light stopped working. And then in less than a month the lid wouldn’t stay snug. Due to this issue, the water keeps boiling forever unless you put manual pressure on top (which could cause steam burn if you’re not careful)All this after using it with much caution and gentle care.Don’t waste your money. Buy something that will last you for longer time. My last electric kettle lasted me well over 5 years.

Stopped working after less than 3 weeks use. The switch simply didn't turn the kettle on anymore. I guess you get what you pay for. Awaiting return to Amazon.

Awesome electric water kettle! Easy to use, nice lid hinge opens up to fill the kettle easily. Like the "cool touch" exterior (after boiling, the kettle feels slightly warm). Would definitely buy again, especially at this price point!UPDATE- The kettle only worked for a month before it decided to completely shut down. Unfortunately, I am too late for a refund/exchange.

**review update*** now: this item has gotten so hot that it melted itself to the heat tray.Can no longer safely use.Previous:Happy with this item. Just wish it were a bit cooler to the touch. While it will not burn you unless you touch the spout by accident, being a little heavy and my mom needing both hands to pour it is just a bit warm. Other than that. Fabulous and a great deal for the price.

I've been using it a couple weeks, and it boils the water and switches itself off, which is exactly what I wanted it to doBut then, after a couple of months it stopped switching itself off. I thought this was dangerous and so three it away. Cheap and a waste.I think it looks kinda nice, the metal spout in particular seems aesthetically pleasing to my eye

This kettle started off great but six months into it, it won’t heat anymore without finding the right spot on the base and the lid won’t seal completely causing it to continue running. The stainless steel is corroding and leaving flakes at the bottom of the kettle Purchase a different brand.

Arrived as expected, well packed in perfect condition. Worked well for only a couple of weeks and the metal connection on the bottom has broken so it won’t turn on when placed on the stand. We’re a middle aged couple, no kids, no abuse of the product, just cheap construction. Great idea though to be plastic on the outside and not get hot, but I expect a kettle to work for at least a year.
