The balaclava arrived in a vacuum sealed pack and the dark grey is a nice, smart colour. The description of this balaclava states its ‘Designed with double layer polar fleece fabric, ultra soft and warm’. I would agree this will keep kids warm, and it has little pull toggles to keep it nice and snug, but sadly it’s not a particularly soft fabric. I also find the care instructions in the description confusing as it states ‘ Hand and Machine Wash Only’-so which one is it?! There doesn’t appear to be any label on the balaclava itself with care instructions unfortunately. It also says it fits most 4 to 9 year old children-my son is 10 and it fits him which is good as it caters to a wider range of ages than stated. This kids balaclava is ok for £9.99 at the time of review but I would have preferred a softer fabric for my child.

The balaclava arrived vacuumed packed, once it was out of the packaging it is a good quality item, the material is nice and thick but feels soft, it can be worn different ways, as a wrap around the neck, as a hood or with the front pulled up as a balaclava, there are toggles at either side to adjust the balaclava for a good fit, it covers the neck and fits under a coat, my son likes wearing it and it definitely keeps him very warm, it will be perfect for the cold weather.

This is a great quality thick fleece thermal hooded snood. It appears well made.It can be worn in a variety of ways, as a snood with the hood down or as a balaclava with the hood up. Toggles on the sides enable it to be tightened for a closer fit.It feels really warm and will be perfect for the winter months. Great for outdoor activities, hiking, or just walking to and from school.I tried it on for size (I’m a small adult) and it fitted with the hood up but wasn’t big enough for me to wear as a snood. I’d imagine it would fit most children from the age of around 6 up to the age of around 10-11 years of age.Available in several colours.Reasonably priced for the quality.

AYPOW Kids Winter Thermal Fleece Balaclava.This fleece balaclava has a lovely warm feel to it and seems very well made with good materials.My 7 year old grandson wore this to watch his dad playing football yesterday and he said how much warmer he felt when compared to just a bobble hat.Personally I think the age group is more 6 to 14 years, I actually tried it on as it looked to big for my grandson, on me it was tight but I could have got away with wearing it, there are toggles to adjust the sizing but I just think under 6 years old it might be too big.
