MKS GR-9 Road: Lightweight, sturdy pedal optimized for road cycling, Metallic

Some of the best road pedals I have had. A little narrow, perhaps, but still excellent Japanese quality.

I've been using Crank Brothers clipless pedals with a single speed fixie for years but the brass cleat has worn on my shoes and I can't disengage from a new cleat quickly enough to avoid falling off so I decided to go back to basics and try clipped pedals. The first pedals I bought had tight bearings which made them impossible to spin right-side-up so I bought these. The bearings move nice and smoothly but the fixing for the clips are too far down the front of the pedal so I can't get my toes properly into the clip. I therefore end up with a very insecure connection with the pedal. So, great pedals, if you can live with the position of the toe clips.

These appear to be on the small side but in use, the width is adequate. I much prefer these to my other pedals because they are kinder to the soles of my shoes.

Excellent pedals, been using them for a while now. Look good too.

I just love these pedals, they hang at just the right angle and have a large toe flip so you can always locate and flip into toe clip without having to look down, very welcome espescially in heavy traffic . Quality and price very good I would happily recommend these pedals .

Great pedal unless you want to fit toe clips. Because the toe clip strap goes through the pedal, and the pedal is quite narrow at this point (much narrower than the width of your foot) it means that when you pull up on the toe clip (after all that is the pint of having toe clips) your foot moves upwards quite a long way before the strap goes tight enough to get a good pull, so to speak. In other words you have to 'take up the slack' in the strap before you can actually pull up. I returned them for this reason only.

三ヶ島のこの手のシリーズの中で、個人的に鋭角的なデザインが一番のお気に入り。 爪も小さく見えますが、蹴りやすく、乗り出しの際も困ることがありません。 同社のハーフケージクリップと合わせています。 GR-10は少しふっくらした感じ。 Urban Platformはもう少し横に広く、内側にクランク当たり防止の加工付。 このシリーズのEzy superiorがあればなぁと思います (Urban Platformだけ)

if you combine these with the stainless steel cage/strap that amazon recommends it works incredibly well. Very comfortable flat surface. accommodates a variety of shoe widths. smooth operation. beautiful finish. no reason to use cumbersome clipless pedals after getting these.

These pedals are nice and smooth and perfect for running shoes - especially if you add a toe clip.

GR-9 pedals have been around for a long time and rightfully so. I have them on my fixed gear which I ride in the city. They can be configured with double straps. They are 50 grams lighter than gr-10s at 300 grams and quite frankly the fit and feel are nearly exactly the same as those pedals. They look like they have a little more corner clearance as well.
