Don’t buy to kill house flies on a patio.
Doesn’t attract or kill house flies. Bought this at the end of summer 2018, and didn’t get to use. Plugged it in at the beginning of summer 2019 to help the fly problem on my patio, which is not far from a horse field. Plugged it in and shortly thereafter started hearing some EXTREMELY LOUD zaps. I was so stoked to go check the bin full of flies. To my dismay, not a single dead fly, and i stress lots of little nats. After 2+ months, still not ONE dead fly! There are literally dozens of flys on everything around this zapper, and it hasn’t got a one?! It’s almost like it deters them with its buzz or something! Anyways, it looks great (for a zapper) and seems to kill nats, but mine is about to get donated.

Did not last
I’ve had this product less than a year and during the winter it was not used. To be fair when it worked it did a nice job but today it died. No bug killing now. I expected years of service not months.

Does not hold up.
I have had my unit for a bit over a year. Had it replaced once under warranty. Just a poorly built unit. Bulbs don't last any time and the last ones I installed lasted only a week. Don't buy this brand.

Shorted out and broked after a year of use.
It was doing great, until it shorted out a year into use (right after the warranty period). I plugged it in this summer and it immediately broke and is no longer usable. It did a good job catching flies and other large flying insects, but not so much the gnats, which I was hoping it would get rid of. The blue light is super bright and the neighbors did comment on it, so if you have neighbors that would complain on a bright light, then pass this one up.

Hoont H957 -Bought this bud zapper 18 months ago. I have used it 4 times in 18 months, did not even zap bugs once. Tried it today, it does not come on.This is terrible quality for $60 bug zapper.Manufacturer should have used better quality parts. Amazon would not take it back.

junk hoont and amazon doesnt care
bought this used it for two months light and zapper doesnt work took it to a electrician he said it burned out completely called hoont on it could;nt get a answer from hoont also called amazon and they did;nt care either. I THINK i NEED REFUND OR A REPLACEMENT. I will think less of ordering from amazon because they don;t back their suppliers, highly dissapointed Alvin Sitterding, contact me at [email protected]

Ok, bulbs don’t last forever though
Works well keeping mosquitoes from eating my horses! My only complaint is that one light bulb burned out about five months after I started using it (on nonstop) and now this spring the other bulb is burned out. The replacement bulbs cost about $20 each

I would not buy this again, it lasted less than a year.
I bought this in July of 2018, it no longer works and I replaced the bulbs also. Still does not work, this thing should have lasted at the very least 2 years. I have one of another brand that last over five years. I think it should be replaced at no cost.
