You do not have to program the remote.
I love the fact that you don't have to program the remote. It worked perfectly with no issues with my Samsung TV.

Very simple set up just holding two buttons and then you’re cooking with Gas!
Samsung is about the only company in my experience that you can get a decent remote control replacement from without going through nightmares! I would recommend and two of them for like 15 bucks less than that I believe cannot go wrong. It takes two seconds and you’re cooking with Gas.

It was easy to find these replacement remotes for our tv, and they work immediately, no messing around!

Good replacement
Good replacement and matches original Vizio remote other than the logo. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the Vizio TV keeps trying to update the remote but because it’s not Vizio it won’t update and you just have to click “try again later” just to clear the pop up notification. Not a huge deal, but a minor inconvenience

Works great as advertised. The plastic feels cheap compared to the original remote, but I’m giving stars as it has been working well for the last few months.

They do their job
They may be simple, but they do the trick. Just pop in some batteries and you’re good to go—no programming required. Unlike the original $50 Samsung remote that likely got lost between your couch cushions or, let’s be honest, in the backyard courtesy of your pet, these remotes don’t have voice control. But if you need a reliable and quick replacement for when your remote goes missing at the fraction of the price, I definitely recommend these! Thanks to my kids, I’m on my third pack! LOL
